Contact your local Flight Standard District Office (FSDO) to arrange a discussion with an Aviation Safety Inspector.
The purpose of the meeting is to assess and authorize your eligibility for the Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate.
Bring all relevant training and qualification documents to your appointment.
Include a certification letter from your Executive Officer, Maintenance Officer, or Classification Officer in military service. Time spent in each MOS, NEC, or AFSC. Aircraft and/or engine details for practical experience. Where you gained the experience.
Once authorized, schedule your written test.
After passing the written test, your final step is to schedule and complete the Practical Test.
The Practical Test will be conducted by a Designated Maintenance Examiner and can also be scheduled through our platform.
