The Whiteside County Farm Bureau Foundation is awarding a scholarship to a veterinary student enrolled in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th years of the professional DVM curriculum at an accredited college of veterinary medicine, specializing in Large/Food Animals.
The value of this scholarship is $5,000.
To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must:
- Be entering their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year in veterinary school, specializing in Large/Food Animals, in the fall
- Exhibit potential for successful completion of course of study.
The selection for the scholarship is according to criteria such as:
- Academic Achievement
- Demonstrated success in educational career
- Evidence that the student has developed a thorough plan and goal to complete their educational process successfully
- Special consideration will be given to applicants intending to return to Northern Illinois to practice.
Applicants consent to media release of photo and name upon announcement of scholarship recipients.
There is no requirement to be a Farm Bureau member. Anyone can apply. Applicants that are members or the dependent of a member (parent/guardian) are eligible to recieve bonus points during the evaluation and scoring process.
