Grant applicants must submit an essay that expresses the reason AEDSuperstore should award this grant to your business, organization, or yourself.
Essay submissions must meet the following technical requirements:
- Submitted in a Microsoft Word document.
- Minimum of one page, typed, single spaced.
- Numbered pages, if more than one.
- Standard 8.5x11 size document, with one inch margin on sides, tops, and bottom.
- 12 pt. font in Times New Roman.
- Include Title with Name, Date, Organization, and AEDSuperstore Grant Request
To qualify for review, your essay must touch on the following discussion points:
- Introduction of yourself and organization you are writing on behalf of.
- Explain the reasoning behind your grant submission.
- What AEDSuperstore product will you purchase with the grant?
- How will the purchase be used?
- What are the funding problems you have now to prevent you from making this purchase?
- Do you currently have one or more AEDs at any of your locations?
- How does the purchase address the problem you described?
- What numbers and statistics illustrate the problem to be addressed?
- How will this grant benefit your community?
Evaluation criteria is as follows:
- Timely submission, hitting on or before the due date.
- Proper formatting including all technical requirements.
- Clearly expressed a need for grant in a thoughtful manner while hitting all discussion points.
