As of April 4, 2024, our Sliding Scale CSA is now full for the 2024 growing season. If you complete this application after April 4, 2024, you will be added to our waitlist and alerted if a Sliding Scale share becomes available. Please email foodjustice@philliesbridge.org with any questions.

Our sliding scale CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program is a part of our food justice mission, which asserts that all people have a right to healthy and nutritious food.

Sliding scale applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. All applicants will be notified on the status of their application within one month of submission. Please note that the number of sliding scale shares we have available is limited.

The season is 23 weeks long and weekly CSA pickups begin in June. We will announce the specific date in mid to late May, depending on the season. We offer two share sizes: our big share is designed for a 3-4 person family or 1-2 hungry vegetarians. Our small share is designed for 1 person, or 2 people who don’t eat as many vegetables. All shareholders have access to the pick-your-own field Monday-Saturday during daylight hours. Learn more about our CSA at PBFP.

The sliding scale share is meant to increase access, not become a barrier. If you have a hard time using the guidelines below, try to select the option you can most afford. - Basic needs include food, housing and transportation.
- Expendable income might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go the movies or a concert, buy new clothes, books and similar items each month etc.
- If you're underemployed, you are employed, but your job isn't enough for your training or economic needs.
- If you're underinsured, your healthcare doesn't adequately cover your medical expenses.

We also offer a very limited number of Solidarity Shares at zero cost to support those most closely impacted by state violence. This share is intended to extend additional support (but is not limited) to BIPOC, immigrants, refugees and families of incarcerated people, as well as others who persistently experience food apartheid* and do not have access to grocery stores with fresh produce in their neighborhood.

If you identify with the above and want to receive a solidarity share, select that option when choosing your sliding scale tier.
