This week’s Rotarian Spotlight is Diane Schuette, a recently retired marketing executive from OSF HealthCare.
A bit about Diane: After graduating from Alton High School (Class of 1980!), she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SIU-Edwardsville. She currently resides in Wood River with her husband of 40 years, Mike. They have two children, along with three adorable grandchildren. Their retirement hobbies include volunteering, NASCAR, playing pickleball and traveling with family and friends.
Diane joined Riverbend Rotary in 2011, representing Saint Anthony’s Health Center. “Rotary offers folks a chance to support the community through volunteering and fundraising, as well as connect with others for networking and fellowship,” says Diane. “I’m especially excited that our current primary focus is on child safety initiatives in the Riverbend, giving us the opportunity to partner with schools and youth organizations.
“Being a Rotarian is rewarding AND inspirational when seeing such positive local impacts!” she adds.
Riverbend Rotary meets on Thursdays at Noon at Senior Services Plus in Alton. To learn more about Riverbend Rotary and/or become a member, visit our website at riverbendrotary.com.
