The Māori Music Industry Coalition and SoundCheck Aotearoa present Project Mauri Ora, a wānanga created by Māori, for Māori to explore the prevention of, and response to sexual harm in our music community from within the lens of Te Ao Māori. Read more about the kaupapa here.
Our collective goal is to provide a culturally safe space for Māori to come together and wānanga this topic, considering the tapu nature of it, and the intersections of colonization and our lived experience/s in the music community as tangata whenua.
Sign up to a wānanga when we're in your rohe!
Important notes:
All wānanga are free to attend by tangata whenua of the Aotearoa music community. Wānanga begin at 9am with karakia and wrap by 4pm, with breaks for kai and connection. The day is fulled catered.
If you have pātai about the wānanga content, you are welcome to contact lead faciliator, Ninakaye Taane-Tinorau at ninakaye@tikidub.com.
