ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a Content & Website Specialist who possesses the ability to think strategically, creatively and aesthetically. Here, content is defined as multimedia articles, blog posts, website copy and graphics, images or videos that aid in fostering engagement online.
THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop content and website strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing and community goals
- Edit and manage the company website using Wix. This includes having an eye for layout and design and being good at using the brand voice to create compelling copy
- Write, edit, and publish engaging blog posts
- Create and manage email newsletters
- Create any and all documents, guides, pamphlets, flyers and other digital content needed for our community members and events
- Create and execute offline and online content strategies
- Collaborate with other team members to execute content strategies
- Optimize content according to SEO
- Attend all events and help capture engaging and strategic content that can be used to promote brand, events and initiatives
- Prepare presentations and reports
- Any other related tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
- Reside in Lagos (This is a MUST)
- 2+ years of content and web management experience
- Highly proficient at using content creation apps such as Canva, Adobe, Capcut, Mojo, etc.
- Excellent writing and editing skills (in English)
- A KEEN eye for design, detail, and aesthetics
- Working knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Proficient at designing and managing websites on Wix
- Proficient at using email marketing software (i.e. Zoho Campaigns)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration
- Highly RESOURCEFUL and CREATIVE
- Proficient at using spreadsheets and editorial calendars
- Has a reliable internet connection, smart phone and laptop
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in photography and/or videography (including creative direction and editing)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Working with Pop of Culture is a rewarding, challenging, and fun experience, as you'll work closely with entrepreneurs and creatives and meet a lot of amazing individuals from various communities.
The pay for this role is N175,000/month + data stipend and potential quarterly bonuses.
