This is an application to apply for open Board positions. When we have positions open we will reach out with next steps in the interviewing and review process. Applicants interested in serving as a board member should first read and understand the By-Laws, Statement of Giving, and submit a completed application before February 15, 2024. Applicants may also submit references or letters of recommendation for consideration if they so choose by attaching them on this form. All correspondence should be submitted online via this form. Our Mission

We are a non-profit that provides innovative social care and direct lifestyle support with a mission to create a movement to empower working single moms of NEPA and beyond filling the gaps with a network of sustainable resources and real-life support to enhance their quality of life so they can be the best version of themselves to thrive as moms and women of our community.

18. The majority of our communications, record keeping, and access to reports, meeting minutes, and project management are maintained and managed online. Our goal is to minimize physical paper and create an organization that provides the maximum opportunity for digital and remote work and communication. Because of this, Board members will need to be comfortable with and have good working knowledge accessing the internet, Google Suite products (such as Google docs, Google Drive, Google Sheets), Zoom/Other Video apps. During project work, document readability and function and certain function may require a computer. Will you be able to access a computer? Do you have working knowledge and are you comfortable navigating and receiving communications and project/committee work digitally?

Governance and Compliance
19. As a growing organization, the current Board member requirements are to act and serve in a working Board capacity, which at times can be time-consuming. At this time we are seeking member/s who can commit to a minimum 10 hours per month. Following are some of the basic expectations of all Board members.
- Support the Mission Statement of AASMP.
- Work as a part of a cohesive team with common goals.
- Share your skills and expertise.
- Dedicate time to AASMP board and committee meetings.
- Respect and support the majority decisions of the board.
- Volunteer and assist in AASMP's programs and events, including fundraising efforts.
- Actively participate in board meetings, actions, fundraisers, and public events.
- Provide and assist in achieving the annual budget goals
