    This is an application to apply for open Board positions. When we have positions open we will reach out with next steps in the interviewing and review process. Applicants interested in serving as a board member should first read and understand the By-Laws, Statement of Giving, and submit a completed application before February 15, 2024. Applicants may also submit references or letters of recommendation for consideration if they so choose by attaching them on this form. All correspondence should be submitted online via this form.   • 19.  As a growing organization, the current Board member requirements are to act and serve in a working Board capacity, which at times can be time-consuming. At this time we are seeking member/s who can commit to a minimum 10 hours per month. Following are some of the basic expectations of all Board members.

    • Support the Mission Statement of AASMP.
    • Work as a part of a cohesive team with common goals.
    • Share your skills and expertise.
    • Dedicate time to AASMP board and committee meetings.
    • Respect and support the majority decisions of the board.
    • Volunteer and assist in AASMP's programs and events, including fundraising efforts.
    • Actively participate in board meetings, actions, fundraisers, and public events.
    • Provide and assist in achieving the annual budget goals
  • Provide two references that can speak to your personal character, professional knowledge and skills, leadership abilities, and personal attributes.

    The second is the next step in the process: schedule a meeting to review your application and get an overview of our vision, expectations, and answer your questions. The meeting will be via Zoom and about one hour in length. The email will have a link to my calendar.
