The 2024 JR Academy (April 8-25, 2024) is being jointly offered by the International Ocean Discovery Program's U.S. Science Support office (USSSP) and the Australia and New Zealand IODP Consortium (ANZIC).
During JR Academy, students will be exposed to and participate in a wide range of Earth and ocean science activities, as well as learning science communication skills and careers, while sailing on and living aboard the JOIDES Resolution. A major focus on the 2024 program is exploring the bridge between the realms of Western and Indigenous (both North American and Australia/New Zealand) science, benefiting First Nations Peoples.
