  • Choosing Something

If you're reading this, I assume you're familiar with my work, and if you appreciate what I do, your expectations are likely on point! Clients I work with approach tattoos in various ways. Some prefer a laid-back approach, giving me a rough idea and letting me run with it. Others might come in with the intention to pick something out but may struggle with the selection, relying on my guidance to choose what works best or looks the coolest. Then there are those with a clear and detailed vision of what they want.Feel free to share all the details and ideas needed for me to design something you'll love, or if you'd rather relax, give me some general direction, and trust that I'll create something solid. Ideally, I aim to have a design ready when you come in, allowing us to dive right into the tattooing process. Providing clear pictures of where you want the tattoo will be immensely helpful, although there may still be changes or fine-tuning needed in the moment, with your input. Please note that I don't share designs before appointments, so if your idea is highly specific, ensure I have all necessary information beforehand. On occasion, especially for larger tattoos or if adjustments are desired, changes may occur on the day of the appointment in real-time, with you present. While I strive to incorporate your ideas and imagery, my primary focus is creating a tattoo that looks great, complements the body, and fits within the given budget and timeframe, sometimes requiring compromises. I believe in the adage "less is more" in tattooing, avoiding overcrowding a piece with excessive imagery or wording. Many long-time clients trust that when they come in, my main goal is to craft something awesome that they'll love to showcase!
  • Scheduling

To streamline the scheduling process and enhance accessibility, I've enabled everyone to choose between booking a 2-hour window, half-day, or full day. Appointments are scheduled 2 weeks in advance, from Mondays through Fridays, within a rolling 90-weekday window (meaning the next available day opens up 90 weekdays in advance as each day passes). While I've designed this system with my capacities in mind, it's not flawless, and although it's unlikely, I may need to contact you to reschedule if necessary, particularly for larger or highly customized pieces (such as half an arm or the entire chest). This new system brings about changes in how I price my sessions and adjustments to minimums. For a 2-hour window, anticipate a cost ranging from $180 to $250. If you opt for a half-day (3 1/2 hrs), be prepared to invest between $260 and $380, depending on the duration of the session. Keep in mind that we may not finish your tattoo within these time frames if it exceeds the budget and/or available time. If you estimate your tattoo will take 3 hours or more and prefer not to split it into sessions, then selecting a full day is advisable. Prepare to budget between $450 and $700 for that session, depending on how long we work into the second half.
  • Budget/Pricing

A budget of 240-350 is a fairly common, reasonable budget, it'll get you relatively simple tattoo, typically a straight forward design, about palm sized, placed in an easier area to tattoo (e.g: arm/leg, not including elbows/knees/hands). You wont get a larger, heavily customized design within that price range, but I do have tons of pre-drawn, ready to tattoo designs to choose from that'll fit that budget, most of which will land you in the 240-350 range. A good budget to have for a design about hand sized (or a little bit larger, depending on the specifics of the design) would be the 450-700 range. With the 700 and up range were getting into larger designs than mentioned above (something that'll take up the area pretty well, think the space from your wrist to the crease before the elbow on your inner forearm) of course this is to just give a rough idea and each situation can be unique with varying factors. For larger, multiple session tattoos like the outside of the upper arm, (above the elbow to the top of the shoulder) Its not uncommon to cost 1k+ and take at least a few sessions. The larger the project and more detailed the work is, will add time and effort put in by both you and I, making it much more difficult to estimate how long a piece will end up taking/costing. So understand that I may be able to give an idea of the time frame on certain projects, I cant guarantee it.
  • You're investing in the craftsmanship, environment, methodology, my time, and over a decade of tattooing experience. While I can work efficiently, the emphasis is always on prioritizing quality and thoughtful design.

  • Deposits/Payments

Along with scheduling an appointment, I require a deposit. Half days I require a 100 dollar deposit and for a full day I require a 160 dollar deposit. They're used solely to reserve your date and time for the specific design described during this scheduling process. They're non-refundable and non-transferable to a different design or person. A deposit is made after every booking through this system and will be needed with every additional day booked. It'll come off the final price at the end of each appoinment. The deposit will be lost if you cancel your appointment, for any reason, 24hrs before your appointment. On the day of, after the tattoo, I'd prefer actual physical money or payments be made through the following platforms: Zelle (preferred) to andrewcrystal_tattooer@yahoo.com, Venmo (andrewcrystal_tattooer) or Cashapp to ($andrewtattooer).

  • What do you want?*
  • I Know Exactly What I Want

As in you have a logo/artwork of what it is you'd like exactly. If that’s the case then send it on over! But keep in mind that sometimes designs can be replicated pretty spot on, most of the time there will slight variations made or even need to be completely re-designed/re-arranged to translate into a good tattoo. If you're sending me pictures of a tattoo, then know I wont do an exact copy of that tattoo, it'll be more so my rendition of the design. If you find a tattoo that’s done in a way you absolutely love and must have, then its best to go to the original tattooer, but if you're sending it for me to use as reference then were good! Just let me know what you like about it and I may be able to incorporate it into your design. Send on over your image/images with any info you think I’d need and we should be good!
  • Custom Designs

All I need is the subject matter you want incorporated, any ideas you have in mind and whatever other info you think I’d need to make a design you'd love. Key things to remember, be sure you're familiar with my work(if youre into it, odds are youll love what I make you), less is more and compromise. My main goal is always to make a good tattoo and that means knowing how to design something that'll look good but also transfer well onto the skin. That’s always my 1st priority, 2nd would be giving you exactly what you'd like. Sometimes I cant do that without making alterations. But if you like what you've seen and are open to interpretation then you’ll be happy with what I make for you.
  • Frickin' sweet!

I have a ton of designs to choose from in studio, many of my own and a bunch from other artists I’ve collected over the years. I'm sure you’ll come across multiple designs and find it hard to choose one. These were designed specifically to be good, solid tattoos (Many of which can be done in the 2 hour time window that's factored into the "smaller" option below but I also have quite a few designs that would take longer to do (also the more time/freedom to make something the cooler it tends be) so if you're open to that, please book a half or full day. Come in, browse, I’ll chime in with what would work best and/or be the coolest, then we’ll get to!

  • Scheduling/Pricing

To simplify the scheduling process and increase accessibility, I've granted everyone the option to choose from a 2-hour window, half-day, or full day, and the flexibility to book multiple days in advance. Appointments are currently limited to a 2-week advance booking window, available from Mondays through Fridays, within a rolling 90-weekday timeframe (meaning the next available day opens up 90 weekdays ahead as each day passes). While I've designed this system with my capacities in mind, it's not flawless, and although unlikely, I may reach out to reschedule your appointment for a more suitable date—for example, if my week is filled with requests requiring extensive preparation or if a family event arises. Especially for larger or heavily customized pieces (like half of an arm or your entire chest), this system introduces changes in how I price sessions and adjustments to minimums. For a 2-hour window, the cost is expected to be around $180-250. If you choose a half-day (3 1/2 hrs), please budget between $260 and $380, considering the duration and prep work involved in that session. It's essential to note that we may not finish your tattoo within the specified time frames if it exceeds the budget or available time. If you estimate your tattoo will take 3 1/2 hours or more and prefer a continuous session, then selecting a full day is recommended. Be prepared to budget between $450 and $700 for that session, depending on how long we work into the second half.
  • Pricing/Budgets

A budget ranging from $240 to $350 is often reasonable for a relatively simple tattoo, typically a straightforward design of palm size, typically placed in an easily tattooed area like the arm or leg (excluding elbows, knees, or hands). Within this price range, larger and heavily customized designs that involve extensive prep work may not be feasible. However, I offer a variety of pre-drawn designs ready for tattooing, most of which fall within the $200 to $350 range. For a hand-sized design or slightly larger, the recommended budget would be in the range of $400 to $700. Moving into the $700 and above range involves larger and more detailed designs, such as those covering the space from your wrist to the elbow ditch on your inner forearm. Keep in mind that these are rough estimates, and each situation may be unique with varying factors. For larger, multiple-session tattoos like the outside of the upper arm (from above the elbow to the top of the shoulder), costs can often exceed $1,000 and require several sessions. The size and intricacy of the project add time and effort from both you and me, making it challenging to accurately estimate the duration and cost. While I can provide an idea of the timeframe for certain projects, I cannot guarantee it due to the unique nature of each piece.
