  • The bus has a flat fee of $66 per student per week which will be included in your school invoice.

  • Please read the following Bus Guidelines and Expectations:

  • Lighthouse Christian College expects that all students taking the bus will:

    1. Listen to the Bus Driver: We expect that students listen respectfully when the Bus Driver is speaking.  The following are required of student passengers:  

    • When the Bus Driver is speaking to passengers, students should be quiet and look at the Bus Driver 
    • Students are not permitted to be disrespectful towards the Bus Driver or other passengers
    • Students are to immediately carry out reasonable instructions and directions given by the Bus Driver

    2. Maintain safe noise levels: Passengers must keep noise levels to a normal conversational level.  Students are not permitted to shout or communicate loudly across the bus.  
       

    3. Have respect for property: Respect for the bus and other people’s property is a must.

    • Students are not to put their feet on seats 
    • Students must not drop rubbish on the bus floor 
    • Students must not deface, mark, or destroy bus seating, upholstery, etc.
    • Students must not interfere with other students’ property

    4. Display appropriate demeanour, speech, & dress:

    • Uniform should be worn correctly throughout the whole bus journey
    • No unacceptable gesture, language or verbal harassment of the Bus Driver or other passengers is permitted
    • No unacceptable gestures, language or verbal harassment of pedestrians or passengers     in other vehicles on the street is permitted  
    • The courtesies of saying "good morning", "hello", etc to Bus Driver is an important part of the college culture. 

    5. Uphold Safety:  Students must ensure they:

    • Remain seated properly in their seats during the whole journey.
    • Do not get up, walk around, kneel on the seats, wrestle, hang over the seats, or put any part of their bodies out of the window.
    • Do not throw anything out of the windows.
    • Do not eat whilst on the bus to avoid choking hazards and anaphylactic emergencies.

    6. Have healthy interpersonal relationships: The College requires a Christian standard in the way students treat each other on the bus.  Specifically, we require that students:  

    • Speak respectfully to each other and to the Bus Driver
    • Have an attitude of compassion, befriending and assistance to the students who struggle socially- no cliques and exclusiveness
    • Show sexual purity in modest behaviour and speech. 
    • Physical contact between students is prohibited
