The problem starts early. Roughly half of the children have already tried alcohol by age 15. 1 in 4 Car crashes with teens involve an underage drunk driver. For Teenagers, car crashes are the leading cause of death. Underage drinking is NOT a rite of passage, a phase, or something we can ignore.
Parents have the power to stop these tragedies. Our Power of Parents program helps moms and dads keep their kids safe through ongoing, critical conversations about alcohol and other drugs.

MADD’s Promposal is a 30 to 45-minute classroom presentation designed to:
- Engage high school juniors and/or seniors in the dialogue of underage drinking, cannabis and medication use, and impaired driving.
- Challenge their perceptions of substance use among their peers, particularly around prom.
- Empower them with alternatives that will ensure their prom is a special night they can and should warmly remember.
