1. All payments made toward the reservation or purchase of a kitten, including but not limited to the holding fee, purchase price, transportation, travel arrangements, or related expenses, are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. By submitting a holding fee and/or completing payment, the BUYER acknowledges that: The holding fee secures their position on the reservation list and reflects the SELLER’S time, planning, and opportunity cost. The holding fee is non-transferable and non-refundable. All kitten sales are final once a deposit or payment has been accepted. Once a kitten is reserved, placed, or transferred, no refunds, chargebacks, or cancellations will be issued for any reason, including personal circumstances, change of mind, or inability to continue care. The BUYER understands and agrees that this policy is essential to the ethical operation of a responsible breeding program and ensures fairness to all families on the waiting list.

2. The BUYER understands and agrees that kitten selection typically takes place between 6–8 weeks of age, once personalities begin to develop and individual traits become more apparent. At the time of kitten selection, the remaining balance is due in full, unless a prior payment plan has been discussed and approved in writing by the SELLER. The BUYER agrees that after application of the $500 non-refundable holding fee, the remaining balance is as follows:$3,000 USD for a Traditional or Neva kittens, $4,000 USD for a DBE/OE Traditional kittens. No kitten will be considered reserved, held, or guaranteed until payment has been received in full, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by the SELLER. Any payment plans, partial payments, or alternative arrangements must be: Requested in advance, Approved in writing by the SELLER, Documented prior to kitten selection. The SELLER reserves the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue any payment arrangement at their sole discretion if the agreed-upon terms are not followed. Failure to submit payment as required may result in forfeiture of the selected kitten and/or the BUYER’S reservation position.

3. The BUYER understands that kitten selections are offered in the order of the reservation list based on the date the holding fee is received. However, the SELLER reserves the right to adjust placement within the reservation list under certain circumstances, including but not limited to: Returning families may be granted priority access and may be placed at or near the top of the reservation list at the SELLER’S discretion, Special placements, prior arrangements, or program needs. The BUYER acknowledges and agrees that placement on the reservation list does not guarantee selection from a specific litter or guarantee a specific position at all times, as adjustments may be made to ensure the best placement for each kitten and family. Additionally, the SELLER reserves the right to retain (hold back) any kitten from any litter for the purpose of the breeding program, program evaluation, or future breeding potential. These decisions are made solely at the discretion of the SELLER. The BUYER understands that such decisions may affect availability, timing, or selection order, and agrees to remain flexible throughout the process.

4. The SELLER represents that each kitten is examined and issued a health certificate by a licensed veterinarian prior to placement and is, to the best of the SELLER’S knowledge, healthy and free of visible illness at the time of transfer. The SELLER further represents that the kitten’s litter has undergone a full fecal PCR panel and that the kittens’ mother has tested negative for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). These results reflect the health status of the litter and mother within the controlled cattery environment at the time testing was performed. This health assessment reflects the kitten’s condition only at the time it leaves the cattery. Once the kitten leaves the SELLER’S care, the SELLER cannot control exposure to new environments, animals, stressors, or pathogens. Accordingly, the SELLER assumes no responsibility for any illness or condition that develops after departure, except as expressly outlined in this agreement. The BUYER acknowledges that all living animals carry inherent health variables, and no absolute guarantees beyond the stated contract terms can be made.

5. The BUYER agrees to provide a safe, secure, and appropriate indoor environment for the cat at all times. The BUYER agrees that:The cat will never be declawed under any circumstances.The cat will not be allowed outdoors unsupervised or off-leash.Outdoor access, if provided, must be limited to a secure enclosed space, such as a catio, or direct supervision using a properly fitted harness and leash. The cat will not be boarded in any boarding facility at any time. If the BUYER requires care while away, the BUYER agrees to arrange in-home pet sitting or a trusted caregiver in a home environment. These conditions are required to protect the cat’s physical safety, reduce stress, and minimize exposure to illness or injury. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in a breach of contract and forfeiture of any guarantees provided herein.

6. From the moment the kitten enters the BUYER’S home, the BUYER assumes full and lifelong responsibility for its health, safety, and well-being. The BUYER agrees to provide:High-quality nutrition appropriate for feline health, Constant access to fresh, clean water; hydration is essential to feline health, Routine veterinary care, including annual wellness exams, A safe, stable, and low-stress home environment, Ongoing attention to behavioral and medical needs. The SELLER remains available as a lifelong resource for guidance and support; however, all daily care decisions and veterinary responsibilities rest solely with the BUYER.

7. The BUYER acknowledges that relocation to a new home is a significant life transition for a kitten and may temporarily affect behavior and minor physical health responses. During this adjustment period, it is not uncommon for kittens to experience temporary, mild changes such as: Reduced appetite or mild appetite fluctuations, Loose stool or digestive sensitivity, Mild upper respiratory signs such as sneezing or watery eyes, Increased sleep or temporary withdrawal. These responses are typically associated with environmental change, travel, routine disruption, or stress-related immune response and are generally self-limiting. The SELLER guarantees that the kitten is healthy at the time of departure as confirmed by veterinary examination; however, the SELLER cannot control or predict post-placement environmental exposures or stress-related changes. The BUYER agrees to seek veterinary evaluation promptly if symptoms persist or worsen and assumes full responsibility for all post-transfer medical care.

8. The BUYER agrees to provide a designated, quiet “safe space” for the kitten upon arrival for a minimum of 14 days, and up to 3 weeks if needed, depending on the kitten’s individual adjustment. This space should include:Food and water, Litter box, Bedding and hiding areas, Minimal noise and household traffic. During this initial period, the kitten should not be given full unsupervised access to the home or introduced directly to resident animals. A slow, structured introduction process is essential for:Reducing stress, Supporting immune stability, Encouraging confident behavioral development, Preventing overwhelm or regression. The SELLER is not responsible for any behavioral or medical issues that arise from:Premature introductions, Unsupervised interactions with other pets, Failure to follow recommended transition guidelines. The BUYER acknowledges that successful adjustment is a shared responsibility requiring patience, consistency, and time.

9. While every kitten is raised with early socialization, handling, and exposure to positive human interaction, the SELLER cannot guarantee future temperament, personality, or behavior once the kitten leaves the cattery. The BUYER acknowledges that behavior may be influenced by: Environment and household dynamics, Training consistency, Socialization in the new home, Life stage development and maturity. The SELLER is not responsible for behavioral outcomes including, but not limited to:Shyness or fearfulness, Aggression or reactivity, Litter box avoidance, Difficulty adjusting to other pets or household changes. These outcomes are considered environmental and management-based and are the responsibility of the BUYER to address with appropriate care and guidance.

10. The BUYER agrees to activate the complimentary 30-day Trupanion pet insurance trial on or before the day of pickup using the SELLER’S provided activation code. The BUYER agrees to provide proof of activation to the SELLER for record keeping. The BUYER acknowledges that: Insurance is strongly recommended for ongoing lifetime protection. Early coverage is especially important during the transition period. Maintaining continuous coverage is the BUYER’S responsibility. While the BUYER may choose any provider, the SELLER recommends maintaining active insurance to ensure access to timely veterinary care and financial protection. Failure to maintain insurance will void any discretionary support or consideration from the SELLER regarding health-related claims.

11. The SELLER covers the cost of spay/neuter while the kitten remains in the SELLER’S care. If the kitten is medically unsuitable at the time of placement, it will be released intact, and the BUYER will receive a $500 credit toward the purchase price. The BUYER agrees to:Spay/neuter the kitten at an appropriate age as advised by a licensed veterinarian. Provide written proof of sterilization, veterinary record, or invoice. Registration papers, pedigree documentation, or related transfer materials will only be released upon receipt of verified proof of alteration. Failure to comply with this requirement constitutes breach of contract and may result in withholding of documentation.

12. The BUYER assumes full responsibility for all veterinary care, expenses, diagnostics, medications, and treatments incurred after the kitten leaves the SELLER’S care. The SELLER is not responsible for any veterinary costs once the kitten has been transferred, except where explicitly agreed in writing in advance. Any discretionary assistance offered by the SELLER is:Not guaranteed, Not automatic, Provided solely at the SELLER’S discretion, Not an admission of liability or responsibility. Any consideration of financial assistance is contingent upon:The kitten having active pet insurance in place at the time of illness onset, Proper veterinary documentation being provided, Prior written approval from the SELLER. Failure to meet these conditions removes any obligation or expectation of support.

13. The BUYER acknowledges that after leaving the cattery, the kitten may be exposed to a variety of environmental pathogens, stress-related immune responses, and common feline conditions. The SELLER does not provide guarantees against infectious, viral, bacterial, or parasitic conditions once the kitten leaves their care, including but not limited to: Giardia, Coccidia, Feline Herpesvirus (FHV-1), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), Feline Panleukopenia (FPV) Feline Coronavirus (FCoV), Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). The BUYER understands that these conditions may arise due to:Environmental exposure, Stress-related immune suppression, Contact with other animals, Travel or household transition factors, Administration of modified live vaccines, which in some cases may contribute to temporary immune stress or viral shedding during the post-vaccination period. The SELLER is not responsible for diagnosis, treatment, or outcome of any condition occurring after transfer.

14. The BUYER agrees to feed a high-quality, species-appropriate diet and understands that nutrition plays an important role in long-term wellness, including support of urinary, kidney, digestive, immune, and overall systemic health. For optimal growth and development, it is recommended that Siberian cats remain on a kitten-based diet for at least 14 months, unless otherwise directed by a licensed veterinarian. This supports proper skeletal development, muscle growth, and healthy maturation. The BUYER agrees to provide constant access to fresh, clean water at all times. Hydration is essential to feline health, and the BUYER is strongly encouraged to include moisture-rich food options to help support urinary tract and kidney health. The BUYER understands that taurine supplementation is encouraged as part of supporting cardiac and overall health. The BUYER acknowledges that any supplementation or dietary decisions made after placement are their responsibility. The SELLER is not responsible for:Food intolerances or allergies, Digestive sensitivity or stool changes related to diet transitions, Reactions to supplements, dietary choices, or feeding practices after placement.

15. The BUYER acknowledges that common household items, foods, and plants may pose serious health risks to cats and agrees to maintain a safe, toxin-free environment at all times. The BUYER agrees to keep all known toxic substances out of reach of the cat, including but not limited to:Household cleaning products, chemicals, and disinfectants, Essential oils, diffusers, candles, and air fresheners, Human medications, supplements, and vitamins, Pest control products, rodenticides, and insecticides, Automotive products such as antifreeze, Small ingestible objects that may cause obstruction. The BUYER further agrees to avoid exposure to toxic foods, including but not limited to:Onions, garlic, chives, and related foods, Chocolate and caffeine-containing products, Grapes and raisins, Alcohol Xylitol (commonly found in sugar-free products)Raw dough or yeast products, The BUYER acknowledges that many common household and decorative plants may be toxic or life-threatening to cats and agrees to research and remove or secure any harmful plants, including but not limited to:Lilies (all varieties, highly toxic and potentially fatal) Aloe vera, Pothos, Philodendron, Sago, palm, Dieffenbachia, Snake plants and similar species. The BUYER understands that ingestion or exposure to toxic substances may result in severe illness, emergency medical conditions, or death. The SELLER is not responsible for any illness, injury, or outcome resulting from exposure to household toxins, unsafe foods, plants, or environmental hazards after the kitten leaves the cattery. The BUYER accepts full responsibility for maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment throughout the cat’s lifetime.

16. The BUYER agrees to proceed cautiously with vaccinations and understands that all vaccines carry both potential benefits and risks. The SELLER recommends:Administering only one vaccine at a time, Avoiding combining vaccines with any other procedures, including surgery, medications, or elective treatments, on the same day. Allowing adequate recovery time between vaccinations. The SELLER recommends the use of killed, inactivated core vaccines only, when available, as they are generally associated with a reduced risk of adverse reactions compared to modified live vaccines. The BUYER acknowledges that vaccines may result in temporary side effects, including but not limited to: Lethargy, Mild fever, Appetite changes, Localized swelling or tenderness, Mild respiratory or gastrointestinal changes, Temporary behavioral changes, Rare but more serious vaccine reactions may occur. The SELLER is not responsible for any adverse reactions to vaccines administered either in the cattery or after placement, including reactions to modified live vaccines or immune-related responses. The BUYER further acknowledges that certain non-core vaccines, including Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) vaccines, are not recommended by the SELLER and should only be administered under strict veterinary guidance due to potential risks and diagnostic complications. The BUYER agrees that vaccines for FIP, FeLV, and FIV are strongly discouraged by the SELLER. The BUYER understands that administration of these vaccines may result in positive test results that do not distinguish between vaccinated and naturally infected cats, which can permanently complicate or invalidate future diagnostic testing and veterinary interpretation. For this reason, if these vaccines are administered contrary to the SELLER’S recommendation, any related health guarantees, replacement considerations, or contractual protections provided under this agreement shall be considered void.

17. The BUYER acknowledges that Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is common in the general feline population and may be present in multi-cat environments. FCoV can mutate into Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a complex disease influenced by multiple factors including immune response, vaccines, stress, and environmental conditions. The SELLER does not guarantee against FCoV or FIP and cannot predict or prevent its occurrence. The BUYER agrees to:Monitor the kitten for signs of illness throughout its life, Work closely with a veterinarian experienced in FIP recognition and treatment, Seek early intervention if symptoms arise. While treatment options for FIP now exist, outcomes vary and depend heavily on early detection and veterinary management. The SELLER is not responsible for the development, progression, or outcome of FIP after the kitten leaves the cattery.

18. The BUYER acknowledges that all cats, regardless of pedigree or genetic testing, may be predisposed to developing conditions such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Even in well-screened breeding programs, HCM can develop due to complex genetic, environmental, and diet-related factors that are not fully predictable or preventable.The BUYER agrees to maintain routine veterinary care, including annual wellness examinations, and to follow their veterinarian’s guidance for ongoing health monitoring throughout the cat’s life.

19. The BUYER understands and acknowledges that all kittens are living animals, and despite best practices in breeding, socialization, and veterinary care, unforeseen health or behavioral conditions may occur. The SELLER does not guarantee perfection, but does commit to:Responsible breeding practices, Transparent communication, Ongoing availability for guidance and support. The BUYER agrees to maintain open, respectful communication with the SELLER regarding any concerns and to allow reasonable opportunity for resolution prior to escalating disputes.

20. The BUYER agrees that in the event of any concern, question, or dispute regarding the kitten’s health, behavior, or care, the BUYER will first contact the SELLER directly and allow a reasonable opportunity for discussion and resolution. Both parties agree to act in good faith and prioritize the welfare of the kitten above all else. The SELLER is committed to being a supportive resource and encourages open communication throughout the kitten’s life.

21. In the event that legal action becomes necessary to enforce any part of this agreement, the BUYER agrees that: Any legal proceedings shall take place exclusively in the State of Florida. Florida law shall govern this agreement in its entirety. The BUYER shall be responsible for all reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, and related legal expenses incurred by the SELLER in enforcing this contract.

22. The BUYER agrees to handle all concerns, disputes, or dissatisfaction privately and professionally. The BUYER agrees not to publish, post, or share any negative, misleading, or defamatory statements regarding the SELLER, cattery, or kitten on any public platform, including but not limited to:Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Reddit, Google Reviews, Yelp or similar review platforms. This clause is intended to protect both parties from unnecessary public conflict and to ensure that all concerns are handled respectfully and privately. Nothing in this section prevents the BUYER from seeking legal remedies; however, the BUYER agrees to first attempt private resolution in good faith.

23. Kittens are raised in our home with careful attention to their health, development, and socialization. For this reason, kittens will not be released before they are fully ready. Pickup will take place between 12–16 weeks of age, depending on each individual kitten’s development, progress, and readiness for transition. This timeline allows for: Proper weaning and nutritional, development, Age-appropriate vaccinations and veterinary care, Spay/neuter (if applicable), Socialization and behavioral development within the home environment. The BUYER understands that this timeframe may vary slightly based on the kitten’s individual needs, and agrees to remain flexible. The SELLER will determine the appropriate pickup date to ensure the best possible start for each kitten.

24. The BUYER agrees to pick up the kitten within the agreed-upon timeframe established by the SELLER. If the kitten remains in the SELLER’S care beyond the scheduled pickup date, a boarding fee of $150 per week will apply to cover food, care, housing, and continued socialization. This fee must be paid in full prior to release of the kitten unless otherwise agreed in writing by the SELLER. Extended care beyond the agreed timeline must be arranged in advance and approved by the SELLER.

25. The BUYER agrees that the kitten shall never be sold, leased, gifted, abandoned, or transferred to any third party without prior written consent from the SELLER. This includes, but is not limited to: Shelters or rescues, Pet stores, Research facilities, Private rehoming or online sales. If at any point the BUYER is unable or unwilling to keep the cat, the BUYER agrees to contact the SELLER first. The SELLER, Gypsy Siberians, retains the right of first refusal and will assist in safely rehoming or accepting the kitten back when needed. This clause exists to ensure the lifelong safety and protection of every kitten bred by the SELLER.

26. The SELLER reserves the right to refuse the sale or placement of any kitten at any time, at their sole discretion, if the SELLER determines that the placement is not in the best interest of the kitten. This includes, but is not limited to, concerns regarding the BUYER’S environment, communication, compatibility, or ability to provide proper care. In the event that the SELLER declines to proceed with a placement, the BUYER’S holding fee may, at the SELLER’S discretion, be either: Refunded, orHeld and applied toward a future placement. The SELLER’S decision is final and made with the welfare of the kitten as the highest priority.

27. By signing this agreement, the BUYER confirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to all terms outlined in this contract. The BUYER acknowledges that: This contract is binding. Failure to comply with any term may result in termination of guarantees. All clauses are designed to protect the health, safety, and lifelong welfare of the kitten. The BUYER further acknowledges that this agreement represents a mutual commitment to responsible ownership and ethical animal care.

28. The SELLER provides a limited genetic health guarantee for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of sale, strictly limited to confirmed congenital or hereditary conditions that directly result in the death of the kitten.

This guarantee applies only to the following conditions when confirmed as the direct cause of death:

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) of congenital origin
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
Hereditary cancer or clearly identified genetic defects
No other conditions are covered under this guarantee.

This guarantee does not apply to any conditions that do not result in death, including but not limited to:

Infectious, viral, bacterial, or parasitic diseases
FIP, FCoV, FeLV, or FIV
Environmental or stress-related conditions
Vaccine reactions or complications
Trauma, accidents, or injury
Food sensitivities, allergies, or digestive disorders
Gastrointestinal imbalance or toxin production within the gut
Any condition not directly confirmed as congenital or hereditary in origin

This guarantee applies only in the event of death. If a kitten dies within the twelve (12) month guarantee period, the BUYER must provide complete documentation confirming that the death was directly caused by a covered congenital or hereditary condition, including:

A written statement from a licensed veterinarian confirming the cause of death as congenital or hereditary in origin.
Full veterinary medical records related to the illness and events leading to death.
All diagnostic testing and laboratory results.
A necropsy report performed by a licensed veterinarian or qualified pathology service when requested by the SELLER to confirm cause of death.
Failure to provide complete and verifiable documentation confirming congenital cause of death will void this guarantee in its entirety.

Resolution
If a qualifying congenital or hereditary condition is confirmed as the direct cause of death within the covered timeframe, the SELLER may, at their sole discretion:

Offer a replacement kitten of comparable quality and value, subject to availability.
Determine timing and selection of any replacement kitten.
No monetary refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Important Limitations
The BUYER acknowledges that:

This guarantee applies only to death resulting directly from a confirmed congenital or hereditary condition.
No breeder can guarantee absence of all future disease, illness, or medical complications.
Environmental, dietary, infectious, and lifestyle factors are outside the SELLER’S control once the kitten leaves the cattery.
This clause represents the full and final extent of the SELLER’S genetic health responsibility.
