    Girls Rugby is on the rise and we need great people to join our team to take us into the future. We have plans to make massive waves in the leadership and empowerment space for girls, as well as harness the unique opportunities for rugby in the United States. Girls Rugby has endless potential with its unique business and development model, expansion plans for the future, and proven track record of delivering the best sport experience possible for our participants. And now we need you - we need your help, expertise, and innovation to meet our goals. Now is the time to join our mission of empowering girls to reach their potential through sport. Girls Rugby is seeking to expand its Board of Directors (BOD) with individuals who are interested in and committed to our mission, vision and values.   • Expectations of the BOD (as a whole)

    The mission of Girls Rugby is to empower girls to reach their potential through sport. As the highest leadership body of the organization and to satisfy its fiduciary duties, the board is responsible for:

    • Determining the mission and purposes of the organization
    • Selecting and evaluating the performance of the CEO
    • Strategic and organizational planning
    • Ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management
    • Fundraising and resource development
    • Approving and monitoring Girls Rugby’s programs and services
    • Enhancing Girls Rugby’s public image
    • Assessing its own performance as the governing body
    • Follow the organization’s bylaws, policies, and board resolutions

    Expectations of Individual Board Members

    Each BOD member is expected to:

    • Know and align with Girls Rugby’s mission, vision, and values
    • Know and understand Girls Rugby’s policies, programs, and needs
    • Faithfully read and understand the organization’s financial statements
    • Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for Girls Rugby to advance its mission
    • Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve Girls Rugby’s mission
    • Attend functions, such as special events when possible
    • Contribute/Raise a minimum donation of $5,000 annually through a Give-Get process. We understand each member’s contribution of time and money may be different and is therefore tailored to suit.
    • Help identify personal connections that can benefit the Girls Rugby’s fundraising and reputational standing
    • Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings. BOD members are required to attend a majority of meetings throughout the year.
    • Participate fully in one or more committees
    • Sign an annual Board Member Agreement
    • Always act in the best interests of the organization, and excuse self from participating in discussions, decisions or votes where there is a conflict of interest.
    • Disclose any possible conflicts to the BOD in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain confidentiality about all internal matters
