The CAPS Bargaining Team has called for a statewide rolling three-day strike beginning Wednesday, November 15 after state scientists overwhelmingly voted for strike authorization by a margin of 94%. By striking, State Scientists will hold the Governor and his administration accountable for dragging negotiations out over three years, failing to Value Scientists for nearly 20 years, and not providing a fair contract which includes equal pay for equal work. The following CAPS districts and scientists working at locations within will be picketing at various locations.
See the questions below for the current picket locations, *most up-to-date picket locations and strike captain contact information can be found at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZnC5tx3uo02qJMQBqbHIVutk89bVT9Ah0YKUhhKizeo/edit?usp=sharing.

There will be three standard shifts per day:
7am - 11am,
10am-2pm,
and 12pm - 4pm.
The more visible the strike is, the more pressure the Governor will feel and the more power we will have to win a fair contract. So, sign up for as many picket shifts as you can. See the Strike Standards for more information. Wear your CAPS Green and check in with your Strike Captain(s) upon arrival.
For workers with access needs or other circumstances, please see the end of this form.
