  • The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce and Arlington Independent School District (AISD) launched an initiative to expose AISD high school students to meaningful experiences in the workplace through part time practicum placement with member businesses.     Program Specifics:

    • Practicum students must be 16 years old or older, must be currently enrolled in AISD as a senior, and mustcomplete an AISD administered career assessment.
    • Practicum students will work a minimum of six (6) hours per week from September through May and will follow an A/B day block schedule. Pending the student’s schedule and employer’s needs, hours may have theability to increase.
    • Practicums may be paid or unpaid.
    • The employer is responsible for any costs associated with hiring.
    • Employer will provide impactful experiences to participating students.
