Matches will be 2 x 14 minute halves, with a short 1-2 minute half time break to have a drink and switch sides. As there will be only roughly a 5 minute break between time slots. The clock starts regardless if teams are ready, as referees will have multiple games to cover throughout the day. Please ensure teams are ready to go at the correct field and allocated time.
All finals will be 2 x 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time break. If tied after normal time, all age groups will play 2 x 5 minute golden goal extra time halves. If still tied, there will be a penalty shoot-out.
In the event of warmer temperatures, games may be shortened and played in quarters, with a longer break introduced. The STFA will follow the FNSW SMA Extreme Heat Policy to determine the best course of action if the temperatures are high.
In the event of wet weather, please understand a call can only be made closer to the weekend of the event. We will attempt to push through in the event of light rain and scattered showers. Torrential rain causing puddles and unsafe fields will result in the cancelling of the tournament.
