  • This agreement sets forth the terms and understanding between The Learning Lamp, which operates as will be referred to as HUB of the Early Childhood Alleghenies Shared Services Alliance, and a participating child care provider, which will be referred to as Partner, to work collaboratively on implementing a Shared Services Alliance.

  • Background

    A Shared Services Alliance is a network of early care and education providers that works together to share information and resources that help each member address common concerns and improve operational efficiencies. The goal of this Alliance is to improve quality, strenghten staffing, and reduce costs for all members by working together on strategies that increase administrative and pedagogical capacity.

    Roles and Responsibilites

    All participants in this Alliance have agreed to a collaborative approach to management and decision-making regarding Alliance goals and objectives.

     

    Shared Services Hub Responsibilites

    • Seek and obtain grant funding to grow and sustain the Alliance.
    • Early Learning Coordinator and Shared Services Support Specialist will work with each Partner to identify needs and areas of assistance available.
    • Provide services ranging from help with recruiting staff and accessing behavioral consultation for children and/or coaching of staff in behavior management techniques to support Partners with fundraising, professional development, and assistance for staff interested in furthering their credentials or education via apprenticeship and/or free higher education pathways.

     

    Partner Responsibilites

    • Meet with Early Learning Coordinator and Shared Services Support Specialist as needed.
    • Attend scheduled meetings, respond to emails/surveys, & provide feedback on Alliance activities.
    • Provide recommendations as to how the Alliance can best support the work of the Partner.
    • Provide needed information data, and testimonials for grant-seeking and reporting purposes.
    • Ensure staff attendance for all pieces of training and professional development opportunities that the Partner requests/schedules.
  • Changes to the Agreement

    As new aspects of the Alliance are developed and implemented, amendments to the agreement will be made to reflect the new work.

    Confidential Infromation

    The participating parties agree that during the term of this agreement and after termination thereof, agencies will not use their own benefit or benefit of any others person or entity, or divulge or convey to any third party, any confidential information obtained through the Alliance.

    Confidential information shall consist of all information, knowledge, or data relating to participating Partners and Hub, and their businesses, including but not limited to, information about services and products, providers of services and affiliates, trade practices, staff, and financial/donor information, which is not available in the public domain or otherwise published.

    Termination of Agreement

    This agreement my be terminated by the Partner or Hub with thirty (30) days advance written notice.

    Clarity on Consultative Services

    Partner organizations understand that guidance provided by the Hub is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. This includes the Human Resouces Hotline. The purpose of the hotline is to provide quick access to relevant information on human resources-related questions or concerns. The Learning Lamp, as Hub of the Alliance, assumes no liability for information dispensed and cannot be held accountable for losses or damages as a result of advice given.

    Governing Law

    This agreement shall be interpreted according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

    By signing below, the Shared Services Partner and Alliance Hub agree to the terms indicated herein.
