High Meadow School's Work Exchange program has been a vehicle for families to lower the cost of tuition through offering the school critical professional skills and support for its operation. Work Exchange is defined as a parent, guardian or family member providing skilled services to High Meadow with remuneration received in the form of a credit toward tuition. Work Exchange plans can be combined with financial assistance to further reduce tuition costs.

Work Exchange Compensation is at a non-profit rate and does not necessarily reflect market value. This remuneration is documented at the end of the calendar year as non-employee compensation Form 1099 and submitted to the IRS.

Work Exchange projects must be completed in a calendar year running from March 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025.

• Professional Development for Staff
• Teaching 7th and 8th Grade electives, afterschool, or child-caregiver classes
• Coordination and Support for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Initiatives
• Grant Writing and Development Assistance
• Professional Photography or Videography
• Marketing and Branding Support
• Library Curation
• Landscaping/Gardening
• Facilities Management and Maintenance
• Carpentry/Furniture design
• Lunch Coverage Support
• Lighting and sound support for events
• Event space exchange
• Part-time support in the school's medical office
• Front Office Administrative Support
• Technology Support (computer and/or audio visual support)

We encourage parents and guardians to propose any ideas that fit their areas of expertise and may benefit the school program.

APPLICATION PROCESS

If an individual is interested in applying for a Work Exchange barter, please submit your idea using the form below by January 16th, 2024. People with work exchange barter ideas that fit the school's current needs will be contacted for a meeting to discuss the details of the project and commitment of hours to the school. Awards will be announced with financial aid mid-February.

Scope of services and list of deliverables must be drafted by the applicant and included with this application. An application review and interviews will be conducted by an Administrative staff member. Once a scope of work is finalized and tax documentation is submitted, a final award will be granted. Finalized awards will be applied to the tuition invoice AFTER the completion of the work exchange.
