High Meadow School's Work Exchange program has been a vehicle for families to lower the cost of tuition through offering the school critical professional skills and support for its operation. Work Exchange is defined as a parent, guardian or family member providing skilled services to High Meadow with remuneration received in the form of a credit toward tuition. Work Exchange plans can be combined with financial assistance to further reduce tuition costs.
Work Exchange Compensation is at a non-profit rate and does not necessarily reflect market value. This remuneration is documented at the end of the calendar year as non-employee compensation Form 1099 and submitted to the IRS.
Work Exchange projects must be completed in a calendar year running from March 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025.
In the past, work exchange has been offered for the following school support:
- Professional Development for Staff
- Teaching 7th and 8th Grade electives, afterschool, or child-caregiver classes
- Coordination and Support for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Initiatives
- Grant Writing and Development Assistance
- Professional Photography or Videography
- Marketing and Branding Support
- Library Curation
- Facilities Management and Maintenance
- Carpentry/Furniture design
- Lunch Coverage Support
- Lighting and sound support for events
- Event space exchange
- Part-time support in the school's medical office
- Front Office Administrative Support
- Technology Support (computer and/or audio visual support)
