STUDENT AND HOST ASSIGNMENTS:
Career Development places students with hosts based on their career interests alignment with available opportunities. We strive to carefully match students to hosts, and we appreciate hosts who are willing to accommodate students who are undecided or exploring career options.
In providing a successful job shadowing experience, students and hosts are matched by similar career interests and professional experiences. Because of this, if there is no student with a compatible major or career focus, you may not receive a match.
When a match has been identified, you will receive a notification email from Career Development with the details about the assigned individual. If you have noted that you would like to host more than one student, you will receive information about all assigned students together in one email. At that point, you will then communicate directly with the students to set details for your job shadowing day. The student and host communicating directly is part of the professional development structure of the job shadowing program, which is very beneficial for the workplace skills growth of the student.
Thank you!
