  • Q1. How often does your child lose their temper at home?
  • Q2. How often does your child lose their temper at school? Your child may lose their temper in the classroom, in the playground, on the school bus etc.
  • Q3. When participating in extra-curricular activities (EG - Junior sport) or when interacting with peers, cousins or other children of similar age outside of school and the home, how often does your child lose their temper?
  • Q4. How likely is your child to become touchy or easily annoyed when given a simple reminder or task at home, such as to turn down the TV volume, put their plate in the dishwasher, or pack away their toys?
  • Q5. How often does your child become very upset or angry by minor conveniences which occur at school, such as not being chosen for a particular activity, or having to stay inside at lunchtime due to rain?
  • Q6. If your child felt that they were treated unfairly by a sibling or parent, how often would they scream at this person, and then attempt to get back at them for the perceived wrong - sometimes in a physical or violent way.
  • Q7. At school, how often does your child spite peers who they perceive have wronged them in order to gain revenge?
  • Q8. Does your child often find it very hard to forgive adults (EG - Coaches, teachers, parents of friends) and other children, such as school peers and sports teammates, who have wronged them?

  • Q10. Do teachers of your child report that your child often argues with them, or other teachers/authority figures at the school?
  • Q11. How often does your child actively defy requests from yourself or another parent, refusing to follow household rules?
  • Q12. How often does your child actively defy requests from teachers at school, or refuse to follow school rules?
  • Q13. How likely would your child be to not participate in an extra-curricular activity (EG - Junior sport, drama club, scouts) because they don't enjoy the activity, or because they dislike the instructor/coach or other children involved?
  • Q14. At home your child often does things to purposely annoy others - particularly siblings.

  • Q16. If participating in extra-curricular activities such as junior sport, how likely is it that your child would often deliberately annoy teammates or opposing players whom they do not like?
  • Q17. Picture your child behaving in a negative or destructive manner at home or at school. What is the likelihood that they blame others for their mistakes or negative behaviour?
  • Q18. Currently my child finds it very hard to take responsibility for his or her actions, often blaming others for their own mistakes.
  • Spiteful or Vindictive Behaviour:

    Spiteful or vindictive behaviour is considered to be pre-meditated or planned behaviour where an individual aims to physically harm another person or another person's property to venge a perceived wrong inflicted by that person onto them. This behaviour is often accompanied by a sense of satisfaction and pleasure.
