Judge Agreement
Our Purpose Together:
MIST Judges are pivotal in ensuring fairness, impartiality, and integrity in the competition. Your expertise and judgment contribute significantly to the educational experience and personal development of the participants.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Commitment and Participation: Attend necessary meetings, training sessions, and conference calls as invited. Be present for the entire duration of assigned judging times during the Regionals weekend, and notify your supervising organizer of any unavoidable absences.
- Judging Conduct: Evaluate participants impartially, basing judgments solely on the criteria set forth by MIST. Avoid any form of bias or conflict of interest, including but not limited to refraining from assisting competitors or showing preferential treatment. Maintain confidentiality regarding scores and evaluations. Avoid any inappropriate conduct, including unwanted physical contact or communication with minors for non-MIST related matters.
- Professional Preparedness: Judges are required to bring appropriate materials, including but not limited to laptops and any other necessary equipment, to effectively perform their duties during the tournament weekend.
- Professional Appearance: Judges must dress professionally, ahering to a standard that reflects the dignity and respectability of the event.
- Respectful Behavior: Treat all attendees, including participants, organizers, and fellow judges, with utmost respect and professionalism. Inappropraite behavior will not be tolerated.
- Inclusivity: Embrace MIST's commitment to inclusivity, ensuring no discrimination based on religion, race, gender, or other protected characteristics. Support efforts to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
- Legal and Ethical Conduct: Certify having no prior criminal history and avoid engaging in illegal activities. Indemnify MIST against liabilities resulting from personal actions.
- Collaborative Communication and Support: Engage in frequent and cordial communication, especially in addressing issues promptly. Foster a collaborative environment, recognizing that outcomes are ultimately determined by Allah. Approach feedback exchanges constructively, aiming to assist rather than to criticize. Offer support during challenging times and express gratitude for successes. Embrace and enjoy the journey, creating a positive experience for all involved.Keep an open mind, offer positive and constructive feedback, and handle disagreements respectfully.
- Training and Compliance: Complete any required training programs sent by your regional tournament and adhere to the guidelines provided.
Duration and Renewal:
- This agreement is valid until the completion of the regional tournament
Ending Our Agreement:
- MIST can end this immediately if there is a breach of this agreement or misconduct
This document is our entire agreement, replacing any previous discussions or agreements.
