Over the past year, we've come to understand that we are working with two distinct types of member groups - members that are activist-led and members that are more institutionally situated. After much thought, we are changing our fee structure to more fully support both types of members. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us for a conversation.

Mission Alignment*

We are in alignment with OEN's DEI Framework, and will continue to work towards increasing outdoor access for young people.We understand that this work is intersectional and that OEN's network has a diversity of different identities, across age, ability, status, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic-status, and religion. Building Community*

Participate with regular staff attendance of OEN’s online community spaces and educational offerings (at least 8 times per year.We will share educational resources with other members.

Our executive/programmatic leadership agrees to meet with OEN staff at least twice per year to check in on program development and needs.
Record Keeping*

Provide an annual report to the Network which will include these basic statistics: numbers of youth served, youth workers trained, program partnerships, and a brief narrative of the year’s highlights, challenges, needs, and goals for next year.
Organizational Agreements*

Member staff/volunteers possess expertise and experience in outdoor leadership and youth development as well as location/culture-specific understanding of the communities being supported, and have the appropriate training and certification to instruct.We have (or will develop and implement) industry-standard risk management and health and safety protocols that are appropriate and applicable to the member's cultural context and location.OEN, being neither the manufacturer, nor a supplier, nor a dealer in the equipment, makes no warranties, express or implied, as to any matter whatsoever, including, without limitation, the condition of the equipment, its merchantability, its design, its capacity, its performance, its material, its workmanship, its fitness for any particular purpose, or that it will meet the requirements of any laws, rules, specifications, or contracts which provide for specific apparatus or special methods.
