Please fill out the application below completely. If you are under 18, be sure to include your parent(s) signatures at the end of this application.
This application does not guarantee a spot on the team that you’re applying for. After completing your application, you will be interviewed by the team leader and a Global Outreach Commission member. The interview and personal recommendations are critical elements to selecting the short-term trip team members.
What Does It Mean to be a Short-Term Trip Team Member?
Our church’s philosophy is that short-term global trips are not about just “sending people out.” Participation in a short-term trip should have a singular focus and goal, which involve:
- Educating, inspiring, motivating and informing about our responsibility in assisting God in His work and in the Great Commission.
- Stretching faith and building maturity in Believers, allowing them to see what God is doing in the world.
- Engaging in God’s work.
We seek team members who:
- Have a learning posture.
- See this as a discipleship opportunity.
- Want to partner in ministry with our RHCC missionaries and want to partner with God in the Great Commission.
As a short-term team member, you are an ambassador of Christ and an ambassador of RHCC. Your responsibility is to your team leader, your host global partner, and ultimately to Christ.
Besides these responsibilities, there are a few expectations of you:
- Attend all team meetings, both before and after your trip.
- Attend a half-day STT training (in the Spring).
- Raise your own support in an intentional and timely manner.
- Submit all requested documentation in a timely manner.
- Follow the instructions of your leaders as they prepare you for this trip.
Once accepted as a team member, you will receive a handbook with more detailed information about these topics and requirements.
