• AVIGuk London Conference 29.1.2027

  • Poster Presentations Application Form

  • AVIGuk is calling for submissions for Poster Presenters for our next Conference on the 29th January 2027, at London's No. 11 Cavendish Square. These Posters will form a central part of the Conference day. Presentations should link to the conference theme 'VIG Seeing and Strengthening Connections Across Ages, Professions and Systems'. We've secured incredible keynotes already, and welcome your contributions to this exciting event.

For this conference, we are not having Workshops. Instead, we are having 5 Keynote Presentations, and up to 10 enhanced Poster Presentations. Poster Presenters will have 5-8 mins to share their poster with all conference delegates, on the main screen of the auditorium. This will be followed by a break of at least 100 mins (which will include lunch), when delegates can visit your poster and discuss it with you.

The Posters will also be on the conference website before and after the conference and also added to the VIG ReSearch database. Whilst there may not be time or space to include all Poster Presenter submissions on the day, any applications that are not selected, will be offered to present at a Lunchtime Live: Poster Special Edition in 2027-2028.

The deadline for poster submissions is the 21st September 2026. Early application advised. However, if you do not feel comfortable completing all boxes fully at this point, please be reassured, we are very open to discussing your poster before completing this application and/or are aware that content and ideas may change after submission. We will let you know whether or not your application is successful by the 1st October 2026. The deadline to have your finished digital Posters ready, will be the 5th January 2027.

This year Poster Presenters are being asked to print their own posters. All Poster Presenters will still need to register and buy a ticket for the conference, and pay at the appropriate delegate rate - which is £170 early bird AVIGuk member rate. Tickets will be on sale shortly, please see our conference website page for updates, additional information and ticket links when released. Finally, please don't hesitate to get in contact us, with any questions, at events@videointeractionguidance.net.

  • What information do we need from you?

The audience will include VIG trainees, practitioners and supervisors, managers and also those hearing about VIG for the first time. Therefore, the purpose of the posters is to share with the audience the many different ways that VIG and/or VERP has been used to strengthen connections - at the individual, family, professional, or systems levels - in the UK and internationally.

If you would like to make a submission to present a poster at the AVIGuk International Conference 2027 please complete the form below by 21.9.26.

We're very much looking forward to receiving your applications, as we know that there is so much evidence and innovative practice regarding VIG and VERP to be shared!

  • Poster Submissions

Posters will be viewable throughout the conference day (29.1.27). As described, above, you will also be given a chance to present your poster, on the main screen in the conference hall.

There will also be additional allocated time for delegates to view the posters, and meet with presenters. Poster presenters will be encouraged to be with their Poster and talk to delegates about their work, during this session. You are welcome to bring your own handouts, leaflets, materials, book copies etc. and/or paper copies of your poster, should you wish to.

  • Useful Tips: When it comes to designing a poster, remember it is essentially a 'graphic abstract' or pictorial summary of the work you've done. There are also lots of helpful blogs and websites that can show you how to make a poster that draws people in! The posters will be A1, and can be either landscape or portrait. Please also look at the AVIGuk website for examples of past conference posters.
