    The Ohio ProStart Invitational is a high school competition that showcases the talent of the next generation of restaurant management and culinary arts professionals.  This exciting event features two separate competitions - culinary and management.  The culinary competition requires teams to prepare a 3-course meal in 60 minutes without access to running water or electricity using only two butane burners.  The management competition has teams develop an original restaurant concept and present it to a panel of judges who ask the students to solve challenges that restuarant managers face every day.  

    This is your opportunity to watch the next generation of culinary and management students deliver their best culinary masterpieces and restaurant concepts and compete to win their spot in the National ProStart Invitational in Baltimore, MD April 26-28, 2024.

    Your support is vital to enhancing the students experience as well as a way for you to interact with students and increase industry engagement. Your generous donation is also tax deductible! How would you like to engage with our students?
  • Judge Opportunities

    Both culinary and management positions available. Please select from the choices below. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however, positions are subject to change depending on the number of judges available.
  • All judges will be required to attend a virtual information training session.  Morning and late afternoon sessions will be available.  The session will include review of competition rules as there have been changes as well as a review of the new electronic scoring system.

  • Volunteer Opportunities

    We have several opportunities to volunteer at the competition - timer and culinary assistant. The timer will providing timing for the teams while competing. The culinary assistants will provide support on the culinary floor. There are six (6) positions available in each role.
