    We appreciate your interest in submitting a nomination for the Sports Awards. To ensure a smooth and successful nomination process, please follow these guidelines:

    Thoroughly Review the Form: Carefully read through the entire nomination form to understand the information required in each section.

    Complete All Sections: It is essential that you fill out every part of the form. Incomplete nominations may not be eligible for consideration.

    Provide Detailed Information: Offer clear and detailed responses to each question. This helps us gain a comprehensive understanding of the nominee's achievements and qualifications.

    Include Supplementary Materials: Enhance your nomination by attaching supplementary materials such as photographs, articles, or any other relevant documents that support the nominee's accomplishments.

    Submit Before the Deadline: Ensure that your nomination, along with all supplementary materials, is submitted before the specified deadline.

  • APPRECIATION AWARD

    This award is presented to clubs/organizations, sport promotion groups and companies that have demonstrated community responsiveness in the development of a sports program.  The program must show evidence of continuity, growth and development for a minimum of 5 years.

  • FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

    This award is presented to the female athlete who has excelled in competitions. She should have advanced at least to the final grouping (round) or a position deemed equivalent in a recognized international/world competition, or first in a national competition. The athlete must have demonstrated an extraordinary level of maintained excellence and conduct that embody the ideals of the sport.

     

  • SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

    This award is presented to an individual other than an athlete who has made a significant and sustained contribution to sport at the national level, e.g. Sports administrator, organization or medicine, etc. A minimum of 5 years contribution is required

  • Female Junior Athlete of the Year

    This award is presented to the most outstanding male junior athlete (15 to 19 yrs. old) who has excelled in competitions. She should have advanced at least to the final grouping (round) or a position deemed equivalent in a recognized international/world competition, or first in a national competition. The junior athlete must have demonstrated an extraordinary level of maintained excellence and conduct that embody the ideals of the sport.

  • Junior Achievement Award

    This award is presented to junior athletes (15-19 yrs old) from recognized NSGBs who have excelled in national and/or international competition during the calendar year

  • Senior Achievement Award

    This award is presented to athletes from recognized NSGB’s who have excelled in national and/or international competition during the calendar year.

  • MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

    This award is presented to the male athlete who has excelled in competitions. He should have advanced at least to the final grouping (round) or a position deemed equivalent in a recognized international/world competition, or first in a national competition. The athlete must have demonstrated an extraordinary level of maintained excellence and conduct that embody the ideals of the sport.

  • Male Junior Athlete of the Year

    This award is presented to the most outstanding male junior athlete (15 to 19 yrs. old) who has excelled in competitions. He should have advanced at least to the final grouping (round) or a position deemed equivalent in a recognized international/world competition, or first in a national competition. The junior athlete must have demonstrated an extraordinary level of maintained excellence and conduct that embody the ideals of the sport.

  • MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

    This award is presented to athletes from recognized NSGB’s who have excelled in national and/or international competition during the calendar year

  • This award is presented to athletes from recognized NSGB’s who have excelled in national and/or international competition during the calendar year.

  • This award is presented to an individual or team that has distinguished themselves in the past (qualification period prior to 2020). This award is open to national and international levels of achievement, competition and/or contribution, e.g. organization of a major sporting event, distinguished sporting career, etc.

  • Team of the Year

     This award is presented to a team from a recognized NSGB that have distinguished themselves within the calendar year in international competition.

    Definition of team: A team is defined as athletes (two or more) competing together in the same sport and competition (e.g. Relay team, football team, volleyball team).

  • Sports Citation Award

    This award is presented to an individual or team that has distinguished themselves in the past (qualification period prior to 2015. This award is open to national and international levels of achievement, competition and/or contribution, e.g. organization of a major sporting event, distinguished sporting career, etc.
