Parenting can be demanding, challenging, and rewarding, all at the same time. Additionally, it can feel indulgent and selfish to focus on your own personal self-care when you are in charge of caring for others as well. This space is meant to be a space to connect with other who may be experiencing similar and/or different challenges, and also to practice self-care as a parent to better show up for yourself and your family.
Each week we will meet via Zoom in a semi-structured group format to navigate topics including stress, self-care, and guilt. Like the saying goes, "Please put on your own mask before helping others," we hope this group can be a place where parents can share some care for themselves and each other before continuing on with their schedules in taking care of others! This Parenting Support Group will be facilitated by our practicum intern Adora Du, who is supervised by licensed therapist Sarah Block.
Dates for this group have not been finalized. You may complete this interest form and we will reach out once dates have been scheduled.
