In our desire to reduce the risk of abuse within Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries, and to consider your suitability for the volunteer position, we need to collect some information from you. This Volunteer Ministry Personnel Application Form is necessary to protect our children, our youth and our volunteers and to effectively place our volunteers in ministry positions. Information About your Ability to Work with Children and Youth

In order to continue to provide a safe and secure environment for Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries children and youth, we believe it is necessary to ask you the following questions. All information will be kept in confidence by Church leadership and will not be disclosed by the Church unless required by law. Answering "yes" to any of the following questions may not necessarily prevent you from volunteering with Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

 

 

RELEASE OF INFORMATION AND DECLARATION OF INTENT

Ihereby give Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries permission to contact persons named by me above as referees and contact persons at my current and former employers (if applicable), to gather information in order for the Church to decide whether I am suitable for volunteer ministry.

I hereby give Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries consent to verify the information provided by me in this Volunteer Ministry Personnel Application Form and to contact the references and current and former employers listed above and to obtain and verify any information from them (and any other persons that the Church determines might be able to provide relevant information) that may be relevant to my application.

I grant my permission for Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries to perform a police records check on me, and I will sign and return the attached "Release of Information and Declaration of Intent" for such purpose.

I further grant Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries permission to perform an Internet search on me and to review and consider any information found by me on the Internet.

I understand that if Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries approves my volunteer application and later determines, in its discretion, at any time that I am not suitable for volunteer service in the church or for the volunteer position for which I am applying, Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries may terminate my volunteer service or volunteer position for any reason without advance notice.

If Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries approves my application for a volunteer position, I will sign any documents that Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries requires and will at all times cooperate fully withthe staff of Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries in the fulfillment of my duties and will keep all confidential information I encounter, in my role as a volunteer, confidential.

If at any time I determine that for any reason I am unable to support or adhere to or follow the policies, procedures or doctrine of Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries, I will tell Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries and will resign my volunteer position.

Ihereby acknowledge that, to the best of my knowledge, the information contained in this Volunteer Ministry Personnel Application Form is true and correct.

Information received is confidential and is being gathered for the purposes of considering your application for volunteer ministry with Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries and for determining what, if any Church ministries, you may be suited for in future.

1. In One God, eternally existent in three persons. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. In the virgin birth of Jesus Christ; that He came in human form and lived a sinless life; that He taught and modeled the New Covenant for all to follow; that He shed His blood through crucifixion for the forgiveness of sin and salvation of mankind and was resurrected on the third day bringing us into right relationship with God the Father; that he ascended; that He will return in power and glory.

3. That the Bible is divinely inspired and, therefore, is infallible and entirely trustworthy, and is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

4. In the final judgement of all people resulting in eternal life for believers, and eternal punishment for non-believers.

5.That it is essential to keep the unity of the Spirit by loving one another with a pure heart regardless of denominational differences of the Christ centered church.

6. That marriage is a holy covenant made before God between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:23-24; Genesis 1:27-28)

7. That there is no male, nor female in Christ, therefore, the Holy Spirit may use whomever He pleases for any spiritual task regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. (Gal 3:26:28; Acts 2:17-18)

8. That the gifts of the Spirit are in operation today.

9. In the full function of the five-fold ministry to mentor, and equip others for the work of ministry as each one is called by God

10. That the sanctification and transformation process of becoming Christ like is an essential part of a victorious life for all believers.

11. In water baptism, not as a saving ordinance but as obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ and should be administered by immersion.

I understand that a covenant is a promise, that it is not merely a mutual acquaintance but a commitment to responsibility and action.

Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries:

Here at Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries, we believe that ANY PERSON WHO PARTICIPATES IN ANY FORM OF SERVICE TO THIS BODY, NO MATTER HOW MENIAL IT MAY APPEAR TO BE, IS INVOLVED IN MINISTRY LEADERSHIP. WE FURTHER BELIEVE THAT God intended THESE MINISTRIES be carried out in the spirit of a servant. Although our talents, personalities and gifts may vary, Scripture clearly teaches a leadership style that is uniquely Christian. The Lord of the Church has given it to us. Jesus has demonstrated this leadership style, and commanded us to do likewise.

 

Do nothing from selfish or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Phil. 2:3-8 (NAS)

 

Servant Leadership is much more than a leadership style we act out and master like other management styles. Servant leadership begins with the heart, with our attitude and with our motives. A servant- leader can be characterized by submission, love, compassion, persistence in the pursuit of God's will, and self-sacrifice. Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries:

A life that qualifies FOR MINISTRY LEADERSHIP at Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries exhibits personal morality and character consistent with the Bible. While recognizing that grace abounds in our experience with Christ, and that in Christ there is forgiveness for moral failure, it is also recognized that biblical principles and standards are what qualify and empower an individual to lead.

Models, not just rhetoric, change people. Our primary mandate in this church is to make disciples, teaching them to obey (Matt. 28:19 Modeling biblical truth and standards gives those who are young (in age or faith) an example to follow; an illustration of what it means to be a Christian. It gives the church community confidence in the integrity of their church and the quality of our vision.

 

I understand that consistent modeling requires diligence in the pursuit of the biblical lifestyle. There are some things that we can do to renew ourselves from the inside out. There is a need to keep short accounts with God (confession We must be sensitive to sin so that we can easily identify it and recognize its presence in our own lives. We must immediately go to God and ask forgiveness. A lifestyle of sin evolves through inattention and insensitivity to God's view of sinful behavior.

The biblical lifestyle is both a life of participating and a life of abstaining. In participating we are to fully involve him/herself in the principles and, when appropriate, the programs of our Church.

Abstaining is also considered part of the biblical lifestyle. Abstaining from what the Bible refers to as acts of the sinful nature, means not participating in an activity that is harmful to both your personal welfare and that of the church. A list of some acts of the sinful nature is as follows:

Adultery, cohabitation that includes physical intimacy and/or negatively impacts the church as a result of the appearance of evil, occultic practices, dissensions/factions, drunkenness, lesbian or homosexual activity, criminal activity, any sexual abuse, and/or any behaviour that is deemed to be detrimental to the purposes of the church.

By no means is the above list a comprehensive representation of acts that would require disciplinary attention. We are to abstain from ANY ACT OR ATTITUDE that is counter-productive to the purposes of the Church or its ministries.

Having received Christ as my Lord and Savior, and in recognition of God's covenants toward us,I understand and agree to the content of this Ministry Covenant. I resolve to minister within the church and within the world as a servant of Jesus Christ, under God, and according to Scripture. The following statements help to further define my commitment:

I.  I will protect the unity of my church

By acting in love toward other members

By refusing to gossip

By following the leaders

By being supportive of Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries' Statement of Faith

By complying with Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries' Constitution and By-laws.

"So let us concentrate on the things which make for harmony, and on the growth of our fellowship together." (Rom. 14:19) "Have a sincere love for other believers, love one another earnestly with all your heart." (1 Peter 1:22) "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs." (Eph. 4:29) "Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be no advantage to you. (Heb. 13:17)

II.I will share the growth of my church

By praying for its growth

By inviting the un-churched to attend

By warmly welcoming those who visit.

"Tothe church We always thank God for you and pray for you constantly." (1Thess.1:1-2) "The Master said to the servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes, and urge the people there to come so my house will be full." (Luke 14:23) "So, warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you; then God will be glorified." (Rom. 15:7)

III. I will serve the ministry of my church

By discovering my gifts and talents

By actively involving myself in ministry

By being equipped to serve by my Pastors

By developing a servant's heart

By ministering in cooperation with others in the Body of Christ

By supporting, through prayer and affirmation, others' gifts and ministries.

"Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given each of you." (1 Peter 4:10) "God gave, some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up." (Eph. 4:11-12) "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus; Who [took on] the very nature of a servant." (Phil. 2:3-4,7)

 

IV.I will support the testimony of my church

By attending faithfully

By living a godly life (applying Biblical principles in all aspects of my life)

By keeping a regular, personal quiet time of Bible reading and prayer and regularly confessing my sins before God

By giving regularly through tithes and offerings

By abstaining from any act or attitude that is counter-productive to the purposes of the church or its ministries.

"Let us not give up meeting together but let us encourage one another." (Heb. 10:25) "Whatever happens, make sure that your everyday life is worthy of the gospel of Christ." (Phil. 1:27) "Each one of you, on the first day of each week, should set aside a specific sum of money in proportion to what you have earned and use it for the offering." (1 Cor. 16:2) "A tenth of [all your] produce is the Lord's and is holy." (Lev. 27:30)

 

I understand that Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries is responsible for the welfare of any person entrusted to my care, and thus I will co-operate fully with the staff in the fulfillment of my duties and will keep all information I encounter in my role as a Ministry Leader, confidential. If, at any time, I find that for any reason I am unable to support the policies, procedures, or doctrines of Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries, I will gracefully and quietly resign my position.

If I fail to live a life consistent with God's word so that my witness, the reputation of the Name of Christ and/or the integrity of Trumpet Of Truth Christian Ministries is compromised, I will withdraw from my position of ministry and submit to a process of restoration.
