- Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment. Cats can live up to 20 years. Are you willing to care for your cat for their entire life?
- Similar to humans, cats may develop chronic health conditions necessitating twice-daily shots, or daily medications, or extra care for their lifetime. Would you be willing to provide this level of care? There is no right or wrong answer. Please share your thoughts with us

- Do you give us permission to contact your veterinarian(s) for a reference check? A reference check can be conducted by questioning veterinarians and/or their staff, or by requesting your past and present pets' medical records. Most vet clinics are familiar with reference check requests. This step may sound intrusive but it is absolutely essential for our decision-making process.
- Will you be able to send us medical records whenever we request it, even after adoption?

- Are you financially able to give your cat emergency medical care? Emergency medical care can be significantly more expensive than routine care

- We have a lifetime commitment to our cats. Do you agree to let us check on the cat any time after adoption, ask for vet records, and check to see how the cat is being maintained?
- Do you agree that a representative of Demi's Full Menagerie will visit your home or ask to see your home on a video call, prior to the adoption of the pet? The purpose of this is not to judge your home, but to see where the pet will be.
