• Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Case Study Template

Women in Greater Manchester are having negative experiences in interactions with GMP. This is frequently when they are actually the victims of crime; endeavour to report crime; are subject of a 'welfare visit'; and are in turn arrested and or/criminalised by GMP, or have false data/records recorded against them as a result of that interaction. The extent of the problem is currently unknown and no clear data exists to help quantify or research the extent of these experiences or address the problem/s. This case study template is intended to gather case study data for use in a PDF brochure to help secure funding and support for a larger data gathering exercise in Greater Manchester, and possibly nationally. This is currently an independent project, but the hope and plan is to secure wider organised and funded support for this work. Please ensure all accounts given and information provided are anonymised of yours and all other people’s names and addresses, with no identifying information that will trace this case study back to you, or any other member of the public. Assurances are given that this data will not be used for any other purpose or published matter, and consent will always be sought from anyone who provides their data for use of their data. There is space* at the end of this document to provide your email address. No email addresses will ever be disclosed to anyone else, or published anywhere. I have not limited the word count for this case study template, but will have to edit back if excessively long. I would anticipate trying to keep case studies to around 500 words maximum. Please send any enquiries or questions to ProjectPEEL@proton.me
