At this time we are only assisting with colonies in BRYAN county. Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties have programs available to residents. For more information please email us at twoblackdogsfoundation@gmail.com.
Before applying for assistance, you MUST have permission from the property owner where the cats are located to trap, alter and return them. We will not assist in the relocation of the cats.
We currently use PetFix in Savannah and Fixing the Boro in Statesboro for all TNR surgeries. The operating hours, policies and procedures vary for each clinic and it is the responsibility of the trapper/caretaker to educate themselves on the differences between the two facilities. Links to their websites will be listed below. CATS MUST BE IN TRAPS. If you bring the cat to either clinic in anything other than a live animal trap you will be turned away, or will be expected to pay the owned cat price.
Two Black Dogs Foundation operates as a subsidy program. We do not have the funds to pay the full surgery price for every animal that needs our help. We ask that anyone seeking assistance with a colony contribute to the cost. Total cost is $55 per cat.
Please note that we are a very small organization, with limited resources and few volunteers. Trappers/caretakers must be willing to assist with the trapping, transport and aftercare of the cats. We can provide traps, if needed, and will help with transport if we can.
All applications will be forwarded to our TNR Coordinator once received. She will reach out to you as soon as she can.
