Please note, realtor checks are not considered "good funds" under the statutes governing title agencies (N.J.S.A. 17:468-10.1) and therefore cannot be used towards settlement. At the present time, we may accept Certified, Cashier's or Bank Checks, Attorney Trust Account at the time of closing on a case-by-case basis; please contact our office in advance of scheduling the closing for this consideration.

Please note, any checks from Credit Unions are NOT acceptable since they do not clear the same day and may not clear for three to five (3 - 5) business days. If your funds are coming from a Credit Union, you will need to send a wire to avoid closing delays; if wires are not available at your bank, you may need to arrange for an estimated bank check a week in advance of closing. The over payment will be refunded at closing. Also, any checks from American National Bank of Texas and Fifth Third Bank will not be accepted due to counterfeit check issues.

NOTE: Escrow check payments are subject to the receiving bank's hold period outside our control. For any proceeds over $10,000.00 we highly recomend wiring the proceeds as the funds will clear the same day without a hold.
