The 18th annual National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) Chicago Scholarship Luncheon will take place on May 1, 2024, at The Union League Club of Chicago from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm CST. The venue is located at 65 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60604. This year's theme is "Lift as we Climb." Since 2006, we have awarded over $140,000 in scholarships to deserving students in the Chicago area. NAAIA Chicago is proud to support the next generation of industry talent through these scholarships. By recognizing their outstanding academic achievements and personal triumphs, we are investing in future leaders and cementing our legacy.
Reward: This scholarship application is open to high school seniors in the Chicagoland area who have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0. One individual will be selected from the pool of qualified applicants to receive the Ron Allen Award, which provides $2,500.00 in financial assistance for the 2023-24 academic year. Additionally, five individuals will be selected from the pool of qualified applicants to receive the Insuring Excellence Awards, which provide $2,000.00 each in financial assistance for the 2023-24 academic year.
The 6 individuals selected to receive this award will be required to do the following within 1 week of receiving notification from NAAIA in order to receive an award:
- Provide written acceptance of the scholarship to naaiachicagoscholarships@gmail.com
- Provide a brief bio
- Provide a quality, business appropriate headshot
- Sign a photo disclaimer to allow NAAIA Chicago to publish student photos
- Must be present at the luncheon.
All applications must be submitted with the required attachments by March 15, 2024 at 11:59pm CST. Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive confirmation within 5 minutes of submitting your application, please check your spam/junk folder. All applicants will be notified of their application status by no later than April 15, 2024 at 11:59pm CST.
