Volunteer Agreement

Our Purpose Together:

Volunteer dedication and service is invaluable to the successful organization of our regional tournaments. Your role is essential in creating an environment that upholds the values and objectives of MIST, fostering community engagement, and promoting unity and education.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Commitment and Participation: Consistently reassess and renew your intentions for supporting MIST. Attend necessary meetings and conference calls as invited. Commit to being present during the assigned times at the Regional events, notifying your supervising organizer of any inability to attend.

Conduct and Performance: Demonstrate patience, courtesy, and respect in all interactions within the MIST community, including competitors, parents, fellow volunteers, judges, and guests. Ensure timely responses to communications, aiming for within a 48-hour window. Avoid any inappropriate conduct, including unwanted physical contact or communication with minors for non-MIST related matters.

Professionalism and Ethics: Embrace MIST's commitment to inclusivity, ensuring no discrimination based on religion, race, gender, or other protected characteristics. Support efforts to accommodate individuals with disabilities.

Legal and Ethical Conduct: Uphold impartiality and neutrality, especially regarding competition and high school teams. Avoid conflicts of interest or preferential treatment. Represent MIST professionally, observing the MIST Code of Conduct & Dress Code. Engage in appropriate interactions, refraining from any unwanted physical contact or inappropriate communication. Confirm having no prior criminal history and refrain from engaging in illegal activities. Indemnify MIST against any liabilities arising from your actions.

Inclusivity and Legal Compliance: Embrace MIST's commitment to inclusivity, ensuring no discrimination based on religion, race, gender, or other protected characteristics. Facilitate accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Training and Compliance: Complete the required Youth Protection Training before the regional tournament. Comply with all guidelines and rules set by MIST, including those learned in the training sessions.

Duration and Renewal:

This agreement is valid until the completion of the regional tournament

Ending Our Agreement:

MIST can end this immediately if there is a breach of this agreement or misconduct

This document is our entire agreement, replacing any previous discussions or agreements.
