Aspiring Principal Fellowship 2024-2025 Application

The Louisiana Department of Education is expanding the Aspiring Principal Fellowship for the 2024-2025 school year. The Aspiring Principal Fellowship will prepare up to 50 individuals with the critical knowledge and skills needed to serve in the principal role. This selective statewide fellowship is rooted in Louisiana's priorities.

APF cohort participants will meet throughout the year and explore best practices with regional experts, participate in school visits, and reflect on leadership practices. Participants will exit this fellowship with a robust leadership portfolio, the guidance of some of Louisiana’s most successful principals, and a strong network of lifelong colleagues. Please be advised that attendance to all modules is required. Applicants must therefore obtain assurance (sample letter can be found here) from their existing school leader and superintendent stating support:

to attend all modules at varying locations across the state,
to reimburse travel inclusive of mileage, hotel, and food; and
to pay tuition of $1,000 in a timely manner (the link for tuition payment will be sent upon acceptance).
