***Application Priority Deadlines:***
Spring Semester = December 1
Summer Semester = May 1
Snead State scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. Carefully read the documentation required and ensure that the application packet is submitted in its entirety prior to the deadline. In addition, all students requesting consideration for a scholarship must have a completed FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid Office.
This application is only to be used for students starting Snead State during the Spring or Summer semesters that would like to be considered for scholarships. For scholarships starting in the fall, students must submit the electronic scholarship application found at https://snead.awardspring.com.
A complete scholarship application packet consists of the following:
1. Scholarship application (this application for spring/summer scholarships)
2. Unofficial transcripts from high school and all previously attended colleges (including Snead State)
3. One-page typed essay detailing your career and educational goals and how a scholarship would allow you to complete your degree at Snead State.
4. Confirmation page that FAFSA was submitted
5. A copy of your DegreeWorks plan that shows the courses required to complete your degree at Snead State Community College
6. Copy of ACT score documenting a composite score of 23 or above (only required if applying for academic achievement scholarship) - note that Snead State does not accept SuperScores.
*All items above must be uploaded with the application at time of submission in order to be considered. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that packets are complete and all requested documents are uploaded.
