Dorothy Visser's Y-Dialect Cree classes will take place on Thurdsays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Vancouver time, starting September 5, 2024. Register for the in-person classes (312 Main Street, Vancouver) OR register for the online classes which will be held at the same time on Microsoft Teams. The classes will last for ten weeks and have a graduation at the end.
In-Person Limit: 30
Online Limit: 100
The first 30 people who succussfully apply for our in-person classes will be accepted. Subsequent applicants will be placed on a waiting list, and may be offered a spot if a student drops out before class begins.

This class is open and free to all people with Cree ancestry.
Classes will be held in a hybrid format. Students can either attend the in-person classes at 312 Main Street in Vancouver OR attend online via Microsoft Teams. A Microsoft account is not required. Workbooks will be provided before the start of the first class along with the links to the Teams meetings.
Those who attend more than 75% of classes will be awarded a completion award and can attend our Graduation Ceremony. One student who participates the most will win a 'Leadership Award.'
A self-assessment test will be conducted at the end of the course. This test will help you gauge your readiness to join our intermediate classes in the subsequent cohort. *These tests will not be used for graduation.
**This course does not currently qualify for credits and is merely to help those on their own personal language journey.
