SoLA Robotics Internship – FY 2025 - 2026
🚀 You can inspire young minds & develop leadership skills!

📅 Fall: 8 - 10 weeks (September - December)

📅 Winter: 4 - 6 weeks (January - February)

📅 Spring: 6 - 8 weeks (March - May)

📅 Summer: 8 - 10 weeks (June - August)

🔹 Teach & mentor youth (ages 8+) in robotics, coding, and engineering
🔹 Support team collaboration & class operations
🔹 Assist in major robotics competitions and other special events

✅ Step 1: Submit the online application 
✅ Step 2: Attend a two-part interview with the SoLA Robotics team (virtual or in-person)
✅ Step 3: Receive information about your acceptance via email.
✅ Step 4: If accepted, complete the onboarding & training (includes USC Mandatory Reporting and a potential TB/background check for certain in-person roles.)
✅ Step 5: Meet the SoLA Robotics Team. Kick off your internship with an onboarding call with the Executive team and learn about your assignment, goals, and tasks, discuss timeline and reporting efforts.

SoLA Con

Event Description: SoLA Robotics proudly presents SoLA CON, an interactive youth & family STEM conference. This immersive youth and family robotics experience will spark your imagination and show how students build brighter futures through STEM and engineering. 
Date & Time: February 2026. Volunteer Shifts vary between 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

SoLA SLAM

Event Description:  Our robotics students team up and bring their skills to life during our super-fun, SoLA SLAM! The Spring Slam cranks up the excitement with a mini-tournament that gets everyone hyped for the big showdown: the SoLA Youth Showdown in May, South LA’s ultimate robotics competition!
Date & Time: Spring 2026. Volunteer Shifts vary between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm 

SoLA Youth Showdown (SYS)

Event Description: Get ready for the ultimate showdown! This year-end robotics competition brings together students from SoLA Robotics across South LA to compete, collaborate, and showcase their outstanding skills. It’s a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and all the hard work they’ve put into their robotics journey this year!
Date & Time: May 2026. Volunteer Shifts vary between 6:00 am - 6:00 pm

Community Engagement Ambassador

Description: Community engagement opportunities are diverse, allowing volunteers to participate in STEM programming and represent South LA Robotics at community events as SoLA Ambassadors.
