General Info

Mending Moon is a queer-owned, fully licensed, private tattoo studio, open by appointment only. I provide an energetically conscious approach to tattooing that is unique and intentional. The energy that naturally flows between me and you is positively manifested through the process of tattoo. With this in mind, I create original designs intended for the body, incorporating imagery from dreams, nature, and organic energies. In additions to custom creations, I regularly release pre-drawn "flash" designs, which you can find in my portfolio on my website or my Instagram highlights, with the intention that they find their person. I also offer energy reading sessions, where the elements of the design are brought forth through a meditation that connects you to source energy. In this connective space, source is able to pass on information for you that's relevant to your current life. These designs carry a lot of energy and are meant to always be with you. My drawings are always inspired by the natural world. I create designs that portray creatures and plants as they are, and how they interact with Earth's energies and with us. My drawing style is organic and free flowing. My favorite beings to tattoo are birds--I just love the way that wings can hug the body. I enjoy tattooing almost all animals, plants, depictions of energy, portals, and things that foster energetic healing. Please take a look at the tattoos that I've shared on Instagram or on my website to make sure that I'm the right artist for you. If you have a design in mind, I'm happy to consider it, but please know that I may not feel called to do it, and I will honor that truth.

Pricing

I charge $100-$200 per hour. I use a sliding scale to keep my tattoo practice accessible to all who seek it out. If you are unemployed, low income, or facing financial insecurity please pay at the lower end of the scale. If all of your needs are met, or money is not a stressor for you, please pay at the higher end of the scale. This allows me to keep my practice open to everyone. You don't need to disclose your financial details to me, but please honor my time and expertise when determining how much you sould pay. If you choose a custom tattoo, there is an additional $60 (non-refundable) drawing fee required to compensate me for my time designing and drawing something to your specifications. If you choose an enregy reading tattoo, there is an additional $50 (non-refundable) cost to compensate me for the energetic service. 

I prefer to tattoo one person per day. If you are very set on getting tattooed as a group (max of 4) I will do so with a group fee of $25 per person.

I offer payment plans for anyone who needs one. If you want more details on this you can send me a message. If you would like to proceed with a payment plan please talk to me about it before our tattoo session or specify below.

Cash is preferred, but I accept Venmo and PayPal if need be. Please come prepared, as payment is due at the time of your apointment. If you'd like a price estimate ahead of time, please ask!

Deposit

I charge a non-refundable $30 deposit to reserve a tattoo date. This deposit is subtracted from the sliding scale that I give you after your tattoo is completed. If you need to reschedule, the deposit is transferable, as long as I'm given at least 4 days of notice from your scheduled appointment time. If rescheduled with less than 4 days of notice, another deposit will be required. 

Studio Info

My studio is located in Blue Hill, Maine, in the center of town. It's small, quiet and private. It's a cozy and inviting space that I try to make as comfortable as possible. 

*Accessability* My studio is on the ground floor. Please be aware as you come through the door that the threshold is a 3" rise. The parking is tbd, and other cars may be directly in front of the entrance. I will give you parking specifications on the day of your appointment. Parking will always be within a 1-2 minute walk. If you have accessability needs, please specify. 

In preparation for your tattoo...

Please arrive for your tattoo well rested, hydrated, and fed. It's important to eat a full meal and drink plenty of water before embarking on a tattoo. These factors play a huge role in how well your skin responds to the ink.

For best results, keep your body well hydrated for the week preceeding your session. The night before, get a good night's rest, and do not drink any alcohol (this affects the tattoo significantly, even the next day).
