Course Description
Over the years, Indoor Air Quality has experienced impressive consumer-driven sales spikes and the expected drop-offs from worldwide impacting health events like SARS and COVID-19. IAQ must mature into an ongoing pro-trade discussion focus year-round and not just a spontaneous market response. This especially holds true during the higher indoor occupancy periods of the winter, as well as the springtime allergen bloom cycles. Let’s not forget the improved energy efficiency goals for HVAC/R equipment too. Thanks to modern construction techniques, IAQ is now, more than ever, an essential and required component of a proper HVAC system for the home.
This IAQ training was completely overhauled during the recent pandemic to ensure the content is properly aligned with the ASHRAE Guidelines (Chapter 62) and the CDC Guidelines. We WILL be hitting on the technology clarifications around proper Merv Filtration, UV-C Light vs Ionization, as well as Photocatalytic Oxidation impacts on odors and overall Indoor Air Quality. These focal points will all be tied back to his Vermont, USA-based manufacturer, Ultravation.
