  • Introduction:

    The mission of the “Humane Letters Grant” is to keep free thinking alive. This grant is specifically designed to support promising and prospective authors in the publication of open-access books or articles that contribute to the discourse in their field, fostering intellectual diversity and innovation. 


    Scope of Projects:
    The grant supports education research projects that broadly contribute to the improvement of education. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. All projects must adhere to the highest academic and ethical standards.

    Academic Books: Costs associated with the publication of a book.

    Journal Articles: Support for research and writing of scholarly articles.

    Publication Costs: Assistance with costs related to academic publications.

    Conference Fees: Support for registration fees and related expenses for presenting research at academic conferences.


    Proposal Requirements:
    Project Description: A brief project description, including its relevance to the humanities.

    Abstract/Summary: A concise summary (max 200 words) outlining the project's significance and expected contribution.

    Budget Plan: A brief budget proposal indicating the allocation of grant funds. Also, include if there is any in-kind or matching fund from the current employer/institution.


    Submission Guidelines:
    Proposals must be submitted in English as a single PDF that includes copies of a) the acceptance of the manuscript, b)  applicant’s CV/resume.  Applications should be submitted electronically via the grant portal.

    Evaluation Criteria:
    The project's potential to contribute new insights or knowledge.

    Scholarly Merit: The academic rigor and depth of the proposed work.

    Feasibility: Realism of the project timeline and budget.


    Funding and Reporting:
    Grant amounts will be based on the project's needs and proposed budget. Recipients are required to submit progress and final reports detailing the project's outcomes.
