Hello,
Below is the LCYC Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) Referral Form. Please review the following information before entering a submission.
For Vulnerable Youth Guardianship (VYG): LCYC will file the VYG, secure the VYG order, and the Findings and Order Regarding Eligibility for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (FOSIJS). Immigration attorneys must have a valid Washington State Bar license. It is required that they remain the attorney of record for the youth until age 21. Upon the completion and filing of the Notice of Withdrawal and Substitution (NOWAS), LCYC will send the final FOSIJS to the immigration attorney.
Eligibility: LCYC only accepts VYG referrals for youths aged 18 to 20.5 who have a reliable proposed guardian. Important: We cannot accept referrals for youths who will turn 21 within three months of the referral submission date.
Counties Served: We will accept referrals in all counties in the state of Washington.
Important Note: In counties lacking electronic filing capabilities or where extra support is needed, LCYC will work closely with the immigration attorney to facilitate prompt filing.
