Laser Speed Enforcement Operator's Course
These classes are LASER Speed Enforcement Operator's Courses (also known as LIDAR). They are a one-day course involving both classroom and hands-on practical exercises outside.

LaserTech (LTI) offers these classes at no cost to officers to attend the class.

These courses are geared for the Laser Technology Inc (LTI) 20-20 products such as the UltraLyte, TruSpeed®, TruSpeed® S, and TruSpeed® SXb series of laser units and follows the New Jersey case law regulating Laser Speed Enforcement. Each student receives a workbook as part of the class.

After 80 hours of unsupervised operation of your lidar device and submission of documentation, operator's cards from LTI are issued.

The prerequisite for this course is that you be a certified RADAR operator.

Please bring your LASER/LIDAR device to the class for use in the practical exercises. The class does not take a lunch break.

You will receive an automated confirmation email for your request to enroll in the class. You are not enrolled in the class until you receive a class confirmation email from Rich Maxwell.

You will receive a reminder email with the exact location of the class approximately a week before the class date.

The class starts at 9:00 a.m., we do not take a lunch break, and it ends around 1:00 p.m.

Please ensure that you bring a lidar unit with you for use during the class.

These classes are presented by Laser Technology Inc. and offered to the officers free of charge.
