Sharon A. Schoeneck Christian Women's Leadership Scholarship Application

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Sharon A. Schoeneck Christian Women’s Leadership Scholarship has been created by the beneficence of Sharon A. Schoeneck, an alumna of Wisconsin Lutheran College, to acknowledge, encourage, and promote the tremendous talents of our young Christian women. This $5,000 scholarship is available to a female who will be a full-time junior or senior for the 2026-2027 academic year. The non-renewable scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s tuition.

CRITERIA

The recipient will:

• Have shown that her personal life is guided by Christian principles.
• Have demonstrated leadership qualities through volunteer activities on campus, in church, and in the community.
• Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Be a full-time junior or senior for the 2026-2027 academic year and have been a WLC student for at least two years.
• Be invited to and expected to participate in monthly Christian Women’s Leadership Circle Board Meetings either virtually or in person during the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Speak at the annual CWLC event on how receiving this scholarship has impacted her personally.

APPLICATION PROCESS

To apply, please fill out the form below, then upload information about your volunteer experiences and your essay by Monday, January 19, 2026. Finalists will be invited to interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES

Share a list of your volunteer experiences after high school including campus, church, and community activities. In the same document, please select two volunteer experiences from your list and describe your role as a volunteer, what you did, how much time was given to do it, and what leadership lessons or other observations you gained from your involvement in those two different projects.

DARE TO LEAD ESSAY

Please upload an essay of no more than 500 words on what you would say to incoming freshman women about the topic “Dare to Lead.”
