In this class I will have a couple of different horse sketches you can use to get you started. Once you get your drawings transferred to watercolour paper I will show you how to use very wet paper and wet paint to create interesting patterns in the different parts of the horse.

Bears are one of my favorite subjects to paint, and painting them on a full sheet of watercolor paper is both rewarding and impressive. In this class, I will provide several close-up drawings of bears for you to choose from. You will learn how to leave the whites of your paper showing through to create highlights in the bear's eyes. If you are new to watercolours or are struggling with getting to the next plateau in your artist journey, this 4 evening class will be a good one to help you get started and on your way to creating beautiful watercolours.
 
I will show everyone the process I use to create watercolours starting with a simple sketch or diving right in with colour.
 
As you paint you will learn different techniques such as wet-into-wet, wet-into-dry, negative painting, gradation and adding final darks in.

This class is Thursday evenings (September 5, 12, 19 & 26, 2024)
