Thank you for choosing Humble Hounds LLC to care for your pet(s). We do everything possible to keep pets and their families safe, happy and healthy. Please read through the following before scheduling your appointment, and sign at the bottom.
Meet and Greet
All new clients must participate in a consultation (the ‘Meet and Greet’) prior to a formal agreement on services. This allows Humble Hounds LLC and its clients to review each parties’ responsibilities, our general terms, as well as fees and payment terms. It further allows both parties to make an informed decision, and also helps pets familiarize themselves with our caretakers. The Meet and Greet takes place at the client's home to maximize the pet’s comfort and natural behavior during the consultation. There is no fee for the initial Meet and Greet.
Any additional Meet and Greets are $20 plus mileage fees for clients further than 10 miles away from Humble Hounds LLC.
Pricing
Prices are determined after the initial Meet and Greet. Pricing factors include 1) the number of pets, 2) their age, 3) size, 4) behavior and specific needs, as well as 5) travel distance, 6) time needed to complete duties and 7) other factors. No pricing estimates will be provided prior to the Meet and Greet. This ensures that all pets receive care tailored to their specific needs. Prices and services are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of Humble Hounds LLC.
Any services rendered further than 10 miles from Humble Hounds LLC incur a per mile rate equal to average current fuel prices. This also applies to Pet Taxi rides over 10 miles, as well as miles driven for A Walk In The Park.
Deposits and Payments
Invoices for one-time appointment are issued at the time of approval, and must be paid in full prior to services being rendered. Preferred methods of payment are credit/debit card or ACH transfer through Square. It is preferred to have a card on file for ease of payment collection, all sensitive information is stored securely on Square; Humble Hounds LLC itself does not maintain any sensitive credit card information. Cash payments are also accepted and must be completed before the start date of services being rendered. Non-payment or partial payments will result in canceled bookings, and will require the client to make other cts, future agreements and appointments.
Transportation and Pet Taxi
Transportation is available for animals only. This service starts at $20, any services rendered further than 10 miles from Humble Hounds LLC incur a per mile rate equal to average current fuel prices. This also applies to Pet Taxi rides over 10 miles, as well as miles driven for A Walk In The Park.
Please confirm that the daycare, groomer, vet, or other party involved is willing to comply with drop off and pickup plans and will release or receive the client’s pet to or from Humble Hounds LLC.
Holidays
Services rendered on holidays, during holiday weeks, holiday weekends, or other high demand dates are priced at a 20% premium. These dates include:
New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
Good Friday and Easter weekend *
Memorial Day and Memorial Day weekend *
July 1 through July 10*
Labor Day and Labor Day weekend *
The week of Thanksgiving
The week of Christmas, through January 1*
* Friday nights are considered part of holiday weekends.
Holiday appointments for any service must be paid in full at the time of scheduling; no refunds or transfers shall be made for cancellations of holiday booking regardless of type of service, reason, or when the cancellation is made.
Home Access
Humble Hounds LLC will need to gain entry to the client’s home for walks, drop in visits and transportation pick up and drop off. Obtaining a spare key at the meet and greet is preferred. Key lock boxes are available to rent for a fee. Garage doors and garage door openers will no longer be used for a means of entry due to the possibility of power outages or garage door malfunction. Battery operated door knob codes are acceptable until further notice. Please be sure your emergency contact has access to your home; Humble Hounds LLC never shares keys or door code information with any third parties, including emergency contacts.
Humble Hounds LLC may have trusted employees involved in client’s services. This includes walks and drop in visits and allows the caretaker to have access to entry to the client’s home to provide services. In these cases, contact information will be exchanged between the client and employee before services are rendered. Payments and appointments will still be made through square.
Accidents/Injuries
Humble Hounds LLC shall be held harmless for any and all injuries to animals sustained while under our care. This includes–but is not limited to–injuries caused by improper or ill-fitting harnesses or collars provided by the client, as well as any damage to client property caused by the client's pet. The client will be responsible for replacement or repairs of Humble Hounds LLC facility, this includes fencing, and other property damaged by a client's animal, and fumigation for flea infestation caused by clients negligence. If the animal cannot be contained in either a separate room or crate, and causes any damage to Humble Hounds LLC facilities, fencing, or other property, or shows sustained or worsening aggression, the emergency contact will be called to pick up the offending animal and the services will be terminated without refund and an invoice will be issued to the client to cover damages.
Emergency/Medical
Clients are required to provide an emergency contact number, as well as current veterinarian contact information prior to any services being approved/rendered. It is required to have an in-state emergency contact and is aware of their emergency contact status. Clients agree to allow Humble Hounds LLC to seek and have administered any medical treatment for animals in its care as deemed necessary at the sole discretion of Humble Hounds LLC. Humble Hounds LLC makes every reasonable effort to notify and involve clients in the event of an emergency. Clients shall be solely responsible for any and all costs of such measures. Humble Hounds LLC carries liability insurance, which may reimburse certain veterinarian fees. Claims will be submitted when applicable. A per-mile travel fee equal to average current fuel prices will be assessed for any needed transport to and from the veterinarian or care facility.
Our insurance provider, Pet Sitters Associates, LLC, requires that dogs never be allowed off leash without the presence of an above-ground fence. Humble Hounds LLC does not visit dog parks. All parties visiting Humble Hounds LLC are kept separate from all other parties to ensure their respective safety.
All clients visiting Humble Hounds LLC must show proof of rabies and bordetella vaccinations BEFORE being allowed on the property, without exception. A town or city dog license is required before any booking begins. (Contact your town or city offices for information about dog licensing.) These documents are to be submitted to Humble Hounds LLC anytime they are updated and must be kept up to date in our system to hold active client status.
Boarding Requirements and Information
All dogs visiting Humble Hounds LLC must be house trained to relieve themselves outside.
Owners must use a flea and tick preventative treatment on their dog. If a flea infestation occurs on your pet a flea bath will be given at a qualified, local groomer at the client's expense. If fumigation of Humble Hounds LLC facility is required due to negligence of the client, the cost of fumigation will be invoiced to the client.
If a client’s pet under the care of Humble Hounds LLC runs out of food, the client will be invoiced for reimbursement of food as well any related time and mileage. Plan accordingly by sending your pet to us with sufficient food and medication for their entire stay.
Humble Hounds LLC abides by all laws and agrees to maintain a high standard of care for client's pets. Humble hounds LLC will be allowed one hour before or after the scheduled service for arrival to appointments. Humble Hounds LLC agrees to conduct business with its clients so long as the conditions of this contract are met. Humble Hounds LLC may use collars, leashes, tags and other equipment to ensure the safety of each pet.
Humble Hounds will send a minimum of one update text per day to boarding clients each evening containing at least one photo and will send an update with a photo at the end of a walk or drop in visit. Please make Humble Hounds LLC aware if you will be unreachable or do not wish to receive updates and photos. If you do not want updates please select the appropriate box below.

These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding contract, and must be signed for the protection of both Humble Hounds LLC and its clients. Providing false or misleading information will result in the termination of services, and disallows any otherwise applicable refunds.
