1. The sale will be conducted on Friday 4th September 2026 commencing at 10am.
2. Sale nominations CLOSE MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY 14th JUNE 2026. Nominations must be completed online; no hard copy forms will be accepted. Sale nominations received after the closing date will not be accepted. Payment of entry fees must be received to complete entry, entry fees will be invoiced following submission of nomination.
3. If entry nominations exceed the optimum number considered for this sale, the Roma Sale Committee reserves the right to limit the number of accepted entries. Refund of nomination fees will be forwarded to those vendors affected.
4. Sale nominations will only be accepted if the application form is signed by the vendor acknowledging the acceptance of the entry conditions and the decisions of the inspectors and/or Sale Committee. By agreeing to the Conditions of Sale, this will be considered as signing the form.
5. Vendors must be financial members of the Australian Brangus Cattle Association.
Life, Full and Junior members are eligible to sell.
6. Eligible Cattle
6.1. Registered and enrolled females up to and including 8 years of age. All females over 30 months to be preg. tested in calf (PTIC) or to have calf at foot, either registered (if over 3 months) or registerable (if under 3 months). Joining details and or calf details must be printed in catalogue. Enrolled females must have been enrolled prior to entry.
6.2. Registered and Herd bulls with a minimum age of 18 months, and a maximum age of 40 months. NOTE: F1 bulls (Brahman x Angus) are NOT eligible, nor are Brahman and Angus Enrolment cattle.

Entry fees include: Entry to the sale, animal images published online and transfers after sale.
8. It will be the responsibility of the vendor to fully register any calf at foot (over the age of 3 months) of a registered cow.
9. All registered cattle (including calves at foot) will be transferred to the new owners in accordance with the Australian Brangus Cattle Association regulations. A calf at foot over the age of 3 months is regarded as a separate animal for transfer fee purposes. The transfer of a calf up to the age of 3 months is included.
10. All animals entered in the Sale MUST be on the ABCA database at the registration of entries in the sale.
11. A pregnancy test certificate must be submitted for any female offered as ‘in-calf’.
12. One substitute of each sex may be nominated at the time of entries on the approved form as a replacement in an event of a withdrawal (these animals do not incur an entry fee).
13. Registered and Herd Bulls will be sold together. Each vendors bulls will be sold in one draft (in each Agent’s section).
14. All cattle MUST be penned by 2pm, Thursday 5th September 2024.
15. All Registered animals MUST have a Brangus Genomic Bundle (50K or 100K SNP, PV, Poll/Horn, & Coat tests) completed. The Brangus Genomic Bundle must be COMPLETED through the ABCA prior to nominations closing. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
16. All cattle need to comply with the ABCA Standard of Excellence, particularly as it relates to horn status and colour markings. The committee reserves the right to down grade any animals that does not comply to the Standard of Excellence.
NOTE: Horned or dehorned animals are not eligible for sale – the polled or scur status of all animals is to be stated on the entry form. Any Registered animal or Herd bull entered in the Sale that has had Scurs removed will be REQUIRED to provide a Poll/Horn DNA test result to confirm their Horn status.
Note: that white on the underline forward of the navel is not acceptable on registered cattle; however a limited amount of white on the underline will be accepted on herd bulls only. Bulls which carry excessive white markings will be deemed ineligible for sale.
17. All bulls must be available for scanning and weighing at sale yards by 6am Thursday 3rd September, the sale yard weights and scanned details will used for the supplementary sheet.
18. All animals will be subject to a brand inspection, any animal presenting with brand discrepancies may be rejected.
Cattle presenting at the sale with fresh brands may be rejected.
19. All Bulls at Association Sales must be inspected by ACV Accredited Vet for a Veterinary Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluation (VBBSE) which will include a Semen test within 10 weeks of the sale.
20. All Bulls must have a crush side Semen test result of 60% or above within 10 weeks of the sale. If retesting occurs, Vendors must provide a copy of the most recent results.
21. All Bulls will require a minimum Qualifying Pass Morphology result within 10 weeks of the sale. If retesting occurs, Vendors must provide a copy of the most recent results.
22. Any animal presenting to the sale venue with a fresh injury may be requested to provide a new certificate of soundness and be guaranteed.
23. All animals must be a minimum condition score of 3.
24. It shall be the responsibility of the Sale Committee to ensure the removal of rejected lots from the sale pens. Vendors are requested to cooperate fully with the committee if removal of an animal is required. Rejected animals will not be sold at auction.
25. Lot numbers of rejected lots and animals with a downgraded registration status will be posted on the canteen notice board at the completion of the inspection.
26. Health Requirements
General health requirements will be in accordance with DPI regulations. All cattle presented for sale must have been treated for ticks with a minimum of 2 tick treatments prior to sale.
National Cattle Health Declarations are required at the time of sale and with all other relevant documentation and must be presented to the Agent selling your livestock.
27. Participating agents are Elders Stud Stock (ELD) and Grant, Daniel & Long (GDL). Participating agents will be subject to a draw to determine the positions they sell in.
28. All animals must be paint branded with their lot numbers prior to entry into the sale pens. All animals (except calves at foot) shall be ear tagged with the tag showing the lot number.
29. Agent Rebate
A 2.2% rebate (GST inclusive) will be paid to outside agents. This will be in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the sale catalogue. A levy of 1.1% (GST inclusive) will be deducted from all vendors’ gross proceeds to account for the rebate, with any excess funds being retained by the Association.
30. All lots to be compliant with NLIS requirements.
31. All lots will be offered under the Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association Ltd - Livestock Auction Terms and Conditions.
