Fungal nail infections may cause nails to become discolored, thick, fragile, or cracked.

During early phase , there may not be any visible signs. Early signs could be white or yellow-brown spot. Once the fungus takes hold, it can take a long time to clear off. Additionally, other close contacts may also get infected. So early treatment can save a lot of trouble. Treatment includes over-the-counter meds, laser and prescription meds. A podiatrist or a dermatologist can help with diagnosing and treating nail diseases.

Our PCR tests are capabale of detecting fungi at an early stage. The sooner the treatment is started the better.
