❖ By signing the adoption application I agree to be bound by and to comply with the following terms and conditions for the adoption of the above caption animal: ❖ I understand that I can’t use this adopted animal for any breeding projects, etc. These animals have been through enough, we are looking for loving homes. ❖ I understand that I cannot sell, trade, adopt out, rehome, or give away this adopted animal for any reason. If you can no longer care for it for ANY reason, please contact us and we will take it back. ❖ I understand this animal is my responsibility once adopted. We will be glad to advise you on care but cannot guarantee the health of the adopted animal. ❖ I understand that if the animal adopted becomes sick and must be returned to us, that animal cannot be re-adopted by the adopter. ❖ I UNDERSTAND THAT I CAN RETURN THE ADOPTED ANIMAL TO SCALEY ADDICTIONS AT ANY POINT IN TIME but will not be eligible to adopt the animal back. ❖ I understand that adoption fees must be paid before or at pick-up. This can be paid in cash, cashapp or zelle. as a donation with the added note “Attn: Rescue/ Adoption”. All adoption fees are $50 and are non-refundable. Larger Animals will have a higher adoption fee to prevent reselling of rescued animals❖ Some adoptions may have the option to come with an enclosure / set up (such as hides, water dish, lighting, tank, etc.) but a $50 donation along with the adoption fee must be paid. No exceptions! ❖ I understand that the adoption fee will only be paid after my adoption application is approved. ❖ I hereby acknowledge receiving the above-described pet from Scaley Addictions and acknowledge that I am 18 years or older. ❖ I agree to provide proper and sufficient food, water, shelter and kind treatment for the animal at all times. I have done the research and have prepared an enclosure/home for this animal equal to its species’ needs. I agree to take the animal to a veterinarian if it becomes sick or injured at my expense. PROOF OF SETUP IS NECESSARY. ❖ I will not abandon this animal or allow this animal to be used for purposes of vivisection or experimentation. ❖ I will not permit this animal to run at large or to become a public nuisance. I will not release this animal into the wild for any given reason. I will observe all city, county and state regulations. In the event the animal becomes lost, I will make every reasonable effort and attempt to relocate and calm the animal.❖ I will at no time assert any claim, charge or demand of any kind of nature against Scaley Addictions for any future charges that may be incurred by me; including veterinarian fees in connection with the animal. ❖ I understand that the information provided to me about the animal I am adopting may have been received by Scaley Addictions from third parties and this information cannot be relied upon and that Scaley Addictions does not warrant the accuracy or correctness of such information. ❖ I understand that animals can be unpredictable in that Scaley Addictions cannot anticipate or ensure the conduct of animals adopted from Scaley Addictions ❖ I acknowledge that Scaley Addictions warranties regarding the condition, sex, health, temperament or conduct of the animal. I hereby accept the animal as-is; assume all risks and responsibilities associated with ownership of the Animal including bites and the health of the animal and I hereby fully and completely release, indemnify, and hold harmless Scaley Addictions, its directors, officers, coordinators, volunteers, agents, servants and employees from any claim, cause of action or liability of any sort or nature, whether known or unknown, directly arising out of or in connection with the adoption, care, ownership, maintenance, retention, temperament, conduct or condition of the animal. ❖ I understand that Scaley Addictions is not responsible for any bites, stings, scratches or restraint caused by my adoption animal. I am aware that these things can happen and will take caution when handling an animal I come in contact with under the Scaley Addictions. I can contact Scaley Addictions for any questions or tips I may have regarding this. ❖ This contract may be specifically enforceable by Scaley Addictions through judicial proceedings, including the right of the Scaley Addictions to recover the animal without notice or warning due to any breach of the terms of this contract. I hereby agree that in the event I breach this contract and Scaley Addictions file suit to enforce this contract or to defend any claim under this contract, that I will pay any court costs and attorneys’ fees that are incurred by Scaley Addictions in connection herewith. This contract is subject to and governed by Georgia law. ❖ By signing the application I am not in any way entitled to the animal until my official application is approved by the Adoption Director.
